(AllHipHop News) Some people question if artists attending award shows like the Grammys is still valuable in 2018. A new report from Billboard suggests performers can see a significant streaming boost after appearing on the program.

The next day on-demand audio streams for Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA” increased 21% following the TDE emcee opening the ceremony. SZA’s “Broken Clocks” jumped 55%, and Bruno Mars’ “Finesse” experienced a 20% rise.

While the CBS broadcast of the 60th annual Grammy Awards saw a 24% slip in viewership from the previous year, the show spawned several trending topics on Twitter. Additionally, Grammy clips posted to social media and YouTube have collected millions of views since Sunday.

Kendrick Lamar left Madison Square Garden with five Grammys, and Bruno Mars swept all six of his nominations. However, SZA was shut out in each of the five categories she was recognized in, including Best New Artist.
