Cash Money Records rapper Lil Wayne appeared at an arraignment hearing on Monday (Feb. 25) in New York to enter a plea of not guilty in relation to gun charges for a incident last July.The rapper Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., faces two felony charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.The charges stem from a July 2007 arrest following his debut performance in New York with rapper Ja Rule at Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre.The plea is the latest legal chapter for Carter.The New Orleans entertainer also faces drugs and weapons charges in Arizona after a border patrol inspection of his tour bus allegedly contained marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia as well as a 40-caliber pistol.If convicted on the New York felony charges, Carter could become a casualty of the city’s strict gun laws by serving up to three-and-a-half years in prison.
