Lil Wayne Tried To Stop Broadcast Of His Anti Black Lives Matter Movement On “Nightline”

LIL WAYNE TRIED TO STOP THE INTERVIEW FROM AIRING!!

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Lil Wayne reportedly tried to stop the broadcast of his Nightline interview, in which he made controversial comments about the Black Lives Matter movement.

The “Lollipop” star hit headlines earlier this week when he said in an interview on the U.S. news show that he doesn’t feel connected to the racial justice campaign, before cutting the talk short and walking out.

It has now been reported his team tried to get the interview pulled from broadcast and sent several emails to executives at ABC News asking for it to be buried, but they never responded, according to TMZ.com.

He allegedly claims interviewer Linsey Davis pushed him too far by asking questions that weren’t okayed beforehand, but a representative for ABC News says nothing in the chat was pre-approved.

“When it came to the questions and the topics of the interview nothing was off limits,” they said.

The rapper, who reportedly fired his publicists after it aired, told Davis on the Tuesday show, “I don’t feel connected to a d##n thing that ain’t got nothin’ to do with me (sic),” and as he walked out he said, “I ain’t no f##king politician.”

He has since apologized for his comments, confessing he had been angered by earlier questions about his daughters, when Davis asked if he would appreciate them being called “b##ch”, or other terms for women he uses in his songs.

“When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a b##ch and a h##, I got agitated,” he told TMZ. “From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses…. Apologies to anyone who was offended.”

Meanwhile, rapper Jeezy was asked to respond to Lil Wayne’s comment during an interview on New York radio station Hot 97 and said that while he wouldn’t defend them, maybe Wayne couldn’t connect to it because of his fame and money.

“(Wayne) might not be connected on that level. It is difficult because he’s been rich for a long time,” he said. “He’s been living on his own island for a long time. Maybe it’s something he just don’t see (sic).”
