Producer Mr. Collipark became the latest celebrity to join the It’s Cool To Be Smart campaign, a national entertainment industry mentoring program for teenage girls.

As CEO of Collipark Music, Mr. Collipark, born Michael Crooms, is responsible for artists like Ying Yang Twins, Hurricane Chris, and Soulja Boy, will be sponsoring a scholarship through ICTBS’s Music Mentor Scholarship Program for Girls in Atlanta, GA.

The Collipark Music Mentor Scholarship will be given to a graduating high school senior in the Atlanta area interested in pursuing a college degree in Radio Broadcasting, Journalism or Communications.

Additionally, the Scholarship will provide a work stipend to support an internship in radio.

“I know how important music was to me growing up,” the multi-platinum producer born Michael Crooms told AllHipHop.com, “so I definitely want to be instrumental in helping our kids follow their dreams and having a voice through music.”

“I have been following Mr. Collipark for years and have always wanted the opportunity for his label to join our efforts,” adds ICTBS Executive Director Curtis B.

Founded in 2000, It’s Cool To Be Smart has worked with the likes of T.I., Lil Jon, Yung Joc, Gerald Levert, Lyfe Jennings and songwriter Sean Garrett and others in the world of film and music to empower and educate more than 3000 young girls.

The program provides mentorships for teens in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
