After winning two appeals in the UK, the country’s Border Agency has launched another attempt to ban rapper Snoop Dogg from entering the country.
Representatives for the Border Agency confirmed that they have put in a new application to the Court of Appeals to reconsider the case against Snoop Dogg, who’s entourage was involved in a brawl with security guards in London’s Heathrow Airport.
A previous ruling found that Snoop Dogg, born Calvin Broadus, had complied with officers requests and that airport security escalated the situation into a full blown altercation between the two sides in 2006.
“We maintain that the Immigration Judge in the initial hearing made a material error in law,” a rep said in a statement. “There has been no change in the facts that led to Mr Broadus being denied a visa. We stand by that initial decision. We will continue to oppose the entry to the UK of individuals where we believe there may be a risk to the public.”
Two senior immigration officials lifted the ban on Snoop Dogg last month, after video evidence surfaced showing that Snoop Dogg had not been responsible for any public disorder, nor did he initiate it.
Representatives for Snoop Dogg were not available to comment as of press time.
