Lizzo responds to backlash and being canceled

So Lizzo reacts to being sued by three of her dancers. Let's talk hip-hop

Aight yo this situation is crazy right because Lizzo reacts to being sued by three of her

dancers. Y'all know the whole situation man this is the big story of the week. Three of her dancers

put a lawsuit against her basically alleging that Lizzo was sexually harassing them, uh that Lizzo

was making fun of her dancers for gaining weight, uh that Lizzo's team captain of the damn squad

tried to convert all the dancers over to Christianity. She also made fun of them for

having sex before they were married, then had an interview about one of the other girls who

was a virgin who had never had sex. Um the dancer said that you know Lizzo made them eat bananas

that strippers had in their vagina like all kind of stuff right. So they're alleging sexual

harassment, hostile working environment, all kind of craziness. Um so Lizzo actually responded to

this right. So first of all the captain of Lizzo's dance team also responded and it was kind of weird

the response and it seems like you know she is one of those super religious people that will try to

convert you right. Um but Lizzo responded to with a lengthy statement on her Instagram. I'm not going

to read the whole thing but in part it says these past few days have been gut-wrenching and difficult

and overwhelmingly disappointing. My work ethic morals and respectfulness have been questioned

My character has been criticized. I usually choose not to respond to false allegations

but these are unbelievable as they sound too outrageous to not be addressed. These are

sensationalized stories are coming from former employees that have already publicly admitted

that they were told that their behavior on tour is inappropriate and unprofessional right. Um she

goes on to say that she would never make fun of somebody for their weight gain because she knows

how it feels to be body shamed. She goes on to say that yeah she's passionate about her art and she

doesn't want to put out half-ass art so therefore if people need to get fired they're gonna get

fired. But she says the work environment is not hostile and they definitely are exaggerating in

the lawsuit right. Um of course a lot of people are shocked by this because people look at Lizzo

as the good guy plus people look at Lizzo as somebody who is you know body positive and body

affirming right. So if you are a big girl but you get an act other big girls it just seems

hypocritical and also that you're putting on an image that you don't really have right. So the

whole thing is crazy we'll see what happens as far as the lawsuit goes. Um but not only the three

dancers who were suing Lizzo said that this was going on there are two other dancers who also said

yeah this is true the work environment with Lizzo is horrible right. Um so I guess we'll

see what happens and yeah let me know what you all think about this in the comments
