Cube’s ninth solo album I AM THE WEST dropped Tuesday Sept. 28th and want you to get in on the push. I Am The West which is the third album to be

released through Cube’s independently owned label, Lench Mob Records.

ignored or shunned by the power base, rhymes that make you think and 15 songs

Jinx, Bangladesh, Track Bully, Willy Will, Jigg, Brandon Alexander, Doughboy and

Rocko, DJ Montay, T. Mix, The Fliptones, and Hallway Productions and featuring

T.I., Tiny Continue Fight Against Alzheimer’s

(AllHipHop News) Although Tiny and T.I are known for their Grammys, charting topping hits and television shows, they have much more in common, as both of their fathers are Alzheimer’s victims. With Tameka’s father currently battling the disease and T.I.’s late father succumbing to it’s effects, the Harris’ are hosting an honoree luncheon that will take place on Sunday, October 3rd in Atlanta, to celebrate the pre-launch for the foundation’s website and upcoming benefit concert. “For the Love of Our Fathers Foundation” was founded in light of the fact that African-Americans are twice as likely to get Alzheimer’s, but much less likely to be diagnosed.  It is the Harris’ mission to raise awareness and services for victims and their loved ones to help them fight the disease with dignity, hope and consciousness. “The name comes from the fact that my father Charles Pope suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and Clifford’s father, Clifford Harris, Sr., died from it,” Tameka said in a statement to AllHipHop.com. The world saw Tameka’s first-hand struggle with the disease if they tuned in to BET’s top-rated show “Tiny and Toya.” During the reality show, fans witnessed her interaction with her father Charles Pope, a longtime founding member of the hit R&B group “The Tams.”  Her mother, Diane Pope, holds an officer’s position with the foundation and she will speak at the luncheon, as her husband continues his fight against Alzheimer’s.“Having to deal with a loved one who suffers from this disease made it hard for me and my family, so we formed this foundation to help others that are in the same situation…  Support is what’s needed to make this world a better place,” added Mrs. Pope.     Special celebrity friends, business associates, community leaders and family will attend and support. Guests are asked to give a Special Donation of $100.   Community Alzheimer’s Advocate Tena S. Walker and Sister 2 Sister Magazine Editor Jamie Foster Brown both serve as speakers for the afternoon.  Dr. Patrick A. Griffith, Division of Neurology Chief at Morehouse School of Medicine will be honored along with Walker. Attendees will be treated to special live performances including those from members of Xscape, The OMG Girlz and QT Jazz.  “Our foundation is based on the belief that everyone’s needs are of the utmost importance,” Tameka stated.   In addition to the upcoming website, luncheon and concert; services and future projects include www.fortheloveofourfathers.com being a source of credible information. Donations will be accepted on the site to further promote outreach goals.  Please visit www.fortheloveofourfathers.org for more information.

Football: Big NFL Games and Quick College Thoughts

NFL

Redskins vs. Eagles

The Skins and the Eagles

face off Sunday or shall we say Donovan vs. Vick. Let’s not waste

time with background stories that you are well aware of. Donovan never

fully got it done in Philly. No one remembers the guy who almost one

the game before the big game. When Mike Vick was the last one to practice

and the first one to leave, he was still leading his team to playoff

victories off natural talent and no work ethic at all. Now that Vick

is spending more time in the film room and less in the champagne room,

he’s balling. It’s quite evident with his 110.2 QB rating. Vick

will outplay Donovan and the Eagles will win this one easy. Donovan

will be left looking like the divorcee who is still bitter with a new

but uglier girl and Philly has moved on with a dime!

Florida vs. Alabama

Can you beat Mark Ingram

at home? Ingram was sensational leading Alabama to victory against a

game Arkansas team this past weekend. Big time players, make big time

plays and with repeat title aspirations on the line, Ingram delivered.

Florida has not been the juggernaut they have been in recent years,

but they are still Florida and that means something. The Gators are

full of speed and elite talent, but they have not gelled yet. John Brantley,

in his first big game will have to deliver especially if Jeff Demps

does not play. Janoris Jenkins vs. Julio Jones will be a big time matchup

for the next decade much less this Saturday. If Florida can survive

the first quarter and force Bama to pass they have a chance on the road.

If Ingram has the ball with the game on the line, they do not. This

one is too close to call, but we’ll take Florida on the road.

Oklahoma vs. Texas

Heading into the Red

River Shootout, Texas was humbled by a supposedly average UCLA squad.

The good news is that UCLA didn’t hang 66 on the “short” horns like

they did the last time they visited Austin. Oklahoma looked impressive

against FSU, but have struggled against talent they should have dominated

in Utah State, Air Force and a rebuilding Cincinnati squad.  The Bearcats

are no pushover, but the Sooners should have rolled them instead of

sliding by with a single digit victory. The lethargic play of both teams

against their lackluster preseason schedules has taken some of the luster

off the game this year. Texas cannot run the ball or stop the run as

they were exposed against UCLA. Oklahoma’s Landry Jones looks good

one minute and lame the next. Look for OU to establish the run game

with Demarco Murray and make light work of a Texas team that is a year

away still. BOOMER SOONER!!!! s?x??

sucks!

Stanford vs. Oregon

Oregon is the well-oiled

Bugatti sports car scoring damn near a point a minute this season. Stanford

is the old Chevy work truck that batters and bruises its opponents over

and over again. Which style will prevail? However, before I get to that…..if

I am an elite pro-style quarterback on the west coast.  I must play for

Jim Harbaugh. I know you see that he has Andrew Luck looking like a

$60 million dollar QB right now. Oregon’s Derron Thomas and LaMichael

James are scorching up the scoreboards in Chip Kelleys offense, but

look for the surprise to be Stanford to win with their deadly accurate

QB and dominant run game.  Oregon got cut up by Arizona State last week

and stole a win in Tempe. Look for Stanford to really give Oregon a

good whipping and for Luck to bounce back from an average performance

against Notre Dame.  Cardinal by 17!

Hip-Hop Rumors:Yung Berg’s Batman Chain JACKED? Pray For Nate Dogg? Delonte Speaks!

DISCLAIMER:All

content within this section is pure rumor and generally have no factual

info outside of what the streets have whispered in our ear. Read on.WHO: illseedWHAT: Rumors, Funnies, Fails and more!WHERE: illseed.comtwitter.com.illseedHOW: Send your rumors, sightings and ill pics to illseed at [email protected].DELONTE WEST SPEAKS

A reporter in Boston asked D. West about his relationship with LeBron’s mim. What do you make of this quote?

“Not at all, I come from an era where you don’t say nothing bad about someone’s parent, so not at all.”

The Boston Globe colored the reply a bit saying “West took a deep breath, stared the reporter in the eye, and addressed whether the rumors were true.”

After the question was asked, Delonte was shuffled away. Why didn’t he just say, “No.” Sounds weird to me.

PRAY FOR NATE DOGG

So, here is what I know about Nate Dogg. He had two strokes in about the span of less than a year. That is enough to mess anybody up and Nate is no different. I have a new piece of intel that suggests Nate is not doing well. In fact, worse than before. I’m a bit concerned, because I know he was going through some sort of rehab but nothing seemed to get better with him. All I can say is, if you believe in God, PRAY. If you don’t…hmmmm…pray anyway.

DETOX UPDATE

No Detox this year. Dre says new music will drop in December.

YUNG BERG GETS JACKED FOR HIS BATMAN CHAIN?

IT may be time for Berger Man to start wearing wooden chains or something. Rumor has it, Young Berg has been relieved of his Batman chain. If this is false, I am assuming he’ll be doing a twitter or youtube or something with the chain in question. I hard that somebody snatched it right off his neck and then they rolled. On top of that, Berg goes no where in the midst of mortals without his security. Oh, on the flip side, I guess some yahoo will be bragging about this soon. Oh yeah, this all went down in Miami at Cameo.

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

A p### star and part-time jumpoff is allegedly selling a Tiger Wood’s sextape. She’s shopping for a buyer. SMH!!!!

I’m hearing Cash Money is refusing to pay Bangladesh, producer of “A-Milli” because there was a sample that wasn’t included. They apparently had to play for that sample.

Why do so many people spell Jeezy’s name “Jezzy”? That’s not right.

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY

This dude felt like it was a good idea to shave a portrait of Usher in the back of his cranium.

CHRISTIAN RAPPER RELL…

What do you think of this rapper? He’s a Christian and it was sent to me in light of the Eddie Long stuff.

YUNG BERGER, WE LOVE YOU! WOOD CHAINS!They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!

Hip-Hop Rumors: Chuck Phillips Lashes Back At Jimmy Henchmen Rumors!

DISCLAIMER:All

content within this section is pure rumor and generally have no factual

info outside of what the streets have whispered in our ear. Read on.WHO: illseedWHAT: Rumors, Funnies, Fails and more!WHERE: illseed.comtwitter.com.illseedHOW: Send your rumors, sightings and ill pics to illseed at [email protected].CHUCK PHILLIPS EMAILS ME AND HE’S NOT HAPPY!

If you don’t know what this is about, click here.

Basically, some sources have asserted that Jimmy “Henchmen” Rosemond is

the victim of a smear campaign. Chuck Phillips has something to say

about this and he’s not mincing his words.

Guess what I really think? I think I am caught in the midst of some

secret war going on. Please read below and find the views of one Chuck

Phillips, a former writer for the Los Angeles Times and Award Winning

journalist. He’s not a happy camper as it relates to the rumor from

earlier today. In fact, he asserts that there are several factual errors in

the rumor that  I received off the “streets.” Please take the time to

read below. I don’t need this grief! Its rumors to me but to others is

it much more serious.

illseed, The rumor you wrote about me is completely false. I

have never admitted to masterminding a smear campaign against anybody in

my entire life. NEVER. Had you made even the slightest attempt to

verify that malicious lie you would realize that whoever put you up to

it that was lying.

Much of what you published in the item about me was false. But the entire following statement is an outright lie: “he admitted it was him after his ip address was revealed.” Not

only have I never admitted such a thing, to my knowledge, my IP address

has never been revealed. When exactly was my IP address supposed to

have been revealed? And to who?

There is another problem with the lie you published.

If I’m not mistaken, Jimmy Henchman’s lawyer released a statement on

Sept. 13 blaming the government – not me – for the court records cited

in the NY Daily News story:

“The article in today’s New York Daily News about

Jimmy Rosemond is nothing short of a targeted assassination attempt by

the government, with an assist from their favorite newspaper… Due to

the government’s inability to convict Jimmy in a court of law, they have

stooped to trying to get him lynched in the street…. We are weighing

our legal options at this time: Jimmy is not and has never cooperated

with law enforcement. If you noticed the article never stated one named

person that Mr. Rosemond allegedly informed upon. Any suggestion

otherwise is a damnable, actionable lie.”

So whoever fed you

that rumor not only lied about me, but they gave you information at odds

with public statements made by Mr. Rosemond’s own attorney – statements

published by allhiphop.com on Sept. 14, 2010.

So

who is responsible? Is it the government? Or me? Were the court

documents cited in the NY Daily News false? If so, why hasn’t Mr.

Rosemond sued the NY Daily News?

One

more thing. This is a free country and it is your right to attack my

investigative pieces about Tupac Shakur as fiction. But are

you suggesting that Tupac never accused Jimmy Henchman of setting him

up at the Quad Studio in 1994? Are you suggesting that Tupac – who was

punched, kicked and shot 5 times that night – was also manufacturing

fiction? Are you calling Tupac a liar?

Respectfully,

Chuck Philips

illseed note: I didn’t like the piece in the Times from the

jump. It read like a fictitious novel and not like an investigative

piece. We all know now that the piece was retracted as such. No shots to

Chuckie what so ever. Just my two “sense.” And, with that…I am out of

this personal beef between these guys!By the way…As a matter of record, Jimmy had this to say to Sway of MTV.

“I lived with the rumor of what happened to Tupac for the last 14

years. And rumors are rumors —

either you believe them or you don’t — but when you have a reputable

newspaper like the Los Angeles Times with a Pulitzer Prize winner like

Chuck Philips to validate a rumor, then it becomes real. It becomes real

in your life, real to the people around you. When you Google me, this

affects me regardless, forever. I could always rebut a rumor, but this

is something that’s well more damaging. And I think Chuck Philips had no

regards to my reputation, for myself as a businessman, myself as a

father, a family man, somebody’s son. And I think he did irreparable

damage to my career, my reputation and everything else. I don’t think

there is no other reward for me or my family that he can do. An apology

isn’t going to do it. There has to be some form of reprimand in the

sense of his job. He needs to lose his job.” I’m sure this one will continue…BUT….JIMMY AND CHUCK, WE LOVE YOU! PEACE!They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!
