Our stance
AllHipHop utilizes technology, including AI tools, in certain aspects of our reporting and production workflow. Editors assign, review, and approve every story. We verify facts, link to sources and documents and make corrections fast when needed. We never generate or alter quotes. Our goal is straightforward: to deliver useful, accurate journalism responsibly.
What we do
- Use AI for transcripts, background discovery, headline ideation, and data housekeeping.
- We use AI tools to assist our newsroom. Human writers are responsible for all published work and standards.
- Human editors line-edit every published sentence.
What we don’t do
- We don’t generate quotes or people’s statements with AI.
- We don’t publish AI-generated stories without human reporting and editing.
- We don’t use AI to fabricate images that mislead readers. If synthetic media appears, it’s labeled.
Attribution
We attribute sources and link to documents, regardless of the tool used.
