Editorial Standards

Core principles
Accuracy, fairness, independence, and accountability.

Reporting & sourcing

  • We verify information with documents, direct sources, and on-the-record statements.
  • We link to primary materials (filings, transcripts, court orders) whenever possible.
  • Anonymous sources are rare and require editor approval; we describe why anonymity was granted without revealing identities.

Conflicts of interest
Staff must disclose personal/financial ties that could affect coverage. We recuse when needed.

Quotes & media
Quotes are never fabricated or altered for meaning. We label imagery/video that is supplied, pooled, PR-provided, or edited.

AI & automation

  • We may utilize AI tools for transcription, research prompts, housekeeping and story creation.
  • Every publishable sentence is fully edited by a human editor.
  • AI is not used to generate quotes or to fabricate facts.
  • If we publish synthetic media for illustration, it is labeled as such.

Labeling
We prominently label Opinion, Analysis, Review, Sponsored, and Rumors. News is reported fact-first.
