(AllHipHop News) Luiz “Cipha Sounds” Diaz is likely best known as the veteran Hip Hop DJ that spent years spinning records on New York City radio.
The Bronx native is also a professional comedian that hosts the Take It Personal: Hip Hop Improv Show held at NYC’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Ciph is now bringing that improvisational comedy to Tidal for the Hip Hop Improv with Cipha Sounds series.
“I’m always looking for ways to blend my two biggest passions, Hip Hop and comedy, and this series gives viewers the opportunity to hear some hilarious and real stories from the top players in the Hip Hop industry,” says Cipha. “I brought this series to Tidal because I had a great experience working with them on No Small Talk, and they give me a lot of creative freedom.”
The former Chappelle’s Show deejay adds, “The show is 100 percent unscripted so you never know what’s coming next but you’re definitely going to want to stay tuned!”
Hip Hop Improv‘s first edition features Black Thought of the Roots sharing a story about a memorable weed incident from the 1990’s.
Every show will include Cipha Sounds and his A Tribe Call YES team connecting with various Hip Hop personalities to present a comedic take on moments from their lives.
