Hip-Hop Rumors: “Watch The Throne II” Coming this Year?

We hear Jay-Z and Kanye West have already started working on a few new tracks together. Could there be a “Watch The Throne” II dropping in 2012?

Speaking of collabo albums, word on the block is that Drake and Trey Songz have begun working on a few tracks for a collaborative album set to drop this year, if all goes according to plan. It looks like it’s going to be a great year for music!

  • woohah623

this been known for like 2 months already!

  • I like this period of collaboration albums. Hope to see a lot more actually released. Still hoping to hear that Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole. Hope that shit comes together.

  • water_ur_seeds

rather it didnt drop! watch the throne was straight wack

    • bigfoot2011

Wow.  How old are u?  if ur under 20, I understand ur comment.  Shit was one of the best rap albums eva.  Tracks like Murder to excellence, made in America etc.  U just too stupid to appreciate good music

      • water_ur_seeds

Lol are you crazy??? Im 25, Ive grown up on real music, 90s hip hop… CLASSIC Jay Z, Jedi Mind Tricks, Gangstarr, Ill Bill, Da King & I, Wu tang, Pac, Lord Tarriq, Big L, Lord Finesse, CL Smooth, The Coup, Ras Kass, Ultramegnetic, Nas, G rap etc

I got over 2500 CD!! And more vinyl then youve had hot dinners fam, from
Ron B – Stitch by Stitch (which is one of the rarest lps you can find) the og
J Rock – Streetwise lp, Erule – Listen Up and so fourth…

The only good music you know is the label, fck outta here, go listen to your ‘Dick Heads In Paris’ album, loada trash…

      • I agree 100%,watch the throne was straight garbage.Murder to excellence sounded forced and made in america was just shit!Save for 2-3 tracks the flows were wack and the beats simple. Big dissapointment from both and don’t really want to hear another one. I pretty much stay with the nineties rap i’ll take naughty, pac cypress etc… over these new “internet artists” any day.

      • bigfoot2011

Just like the Nigga above’s comment, ur too dumb to understand the maturity in their music.

      • What’s so mature about jay rapping about his money and how his old ass is the best when he haven’t put out a solid album since the black album & him and ye need to make music about what’s going on in the REAL world and make some music that we can relate to instead of bragging on his riches all the damn time with them dry ass concepts smh nobody wants to sit up and hear him talking about money while there’s people dying of hunger and suffering from this effed up economy and for the record WTT sucked ass, Now Common,Mos Def, Talib Kweli..They make mature music!!

      • Hmmmm, 90z >>>> WTT all day , everyday.

      • water_ur_seeds

i was hoping for dope album, kanye usually outshines jay on track for somereason, like jay brings the best outta ye, not the case on  this album for sure… i thought the album was gonna be like the curtis mayfield sample they had with pete rock ‘the joy’, cah that was banging

      • bigfoot2011

Ur too stupid to understand the maturity in the album.  When they mention the MoMa u have no clue what their talking about.  Stick to Lil B and the music that makes sense to u

      • Lol….uhhhhh well what is the Moma…

      • bigfoot2011

Museum of Modern art. Houses pieces like “starry night” by Van gogh. “The dance” by Henri Matisse and some Picasso’s

      • EL_BARK

        Niggah that album was trash,

And i tell that to you & your gods faces
Since your acting like a true bitsh, and worshipping them,
        Like they are perfect.

        Maturity in their music??????
What mature about “HAM” or “monster”, or what ever that bull shet track called.

“Niggaz in paris” whats was great about that.????
Or “otis”. Bunch of the same ole garbage.
Jay rapoing bout money & wealth, and how he the best.
        Yaddah yaddah, blah blah blah.

Them niggas is getting redundant. By the way.
You would had think a duo album from them would had
Move crazy units. But I guess you dik eating ass,
Will find a way to justify, low sales for two suppose to be super stars.
Lol that got out sold by a fake blood, who wear women clothes.

Lol ” i got ya baby money” lmai

        Them niggas is soft B.

Oh wait i forgot ” no church in the wild” was trash also.

      • bigfoot2011

Don’t know what kinda Hiphop u like but the album was dope. As far as record sales, the money is in concerts. All their shows were sold out and grossed 1.7 mill per show while the fake blood grossed 500k per show. Do the math. Paul Mccartney doesn’t sell records anymore, he sells shows

      • EL_BARK

        Who talking money.

        Thought we were talking music?????????

I bought up records sales, only to
Prove that album wasnt as hot or dope, as you may think????

Also show money, is important, but lets not forget, album sales generate your buzz,
        Which leads to show money…..

Also jay owes lives nation a big chunk. So dont sell me that 1.7.
Bullshet. That is a gross number, before live nation tax that niggah.
Then he splits it with kayne.

But since you bought up money.
According to billboard, the fake blood was in top 5 in tour money last year.

Jay-z was not and kayne came in at #39.

        Cough cough. Clears throat……..
Now what were you saying about that show money again???

Funny how way double their first week sales on the carter 4,
And rake in more money them
        By touring??????

By the way i from an differernt era, i dont really listen to rapusic now days.

I havent bought an album since college dropout.
Nor have i even listen to an album all the way through in years.

Now days artist make microwavable singles and their albums are trash.
And the few artist that i might listen to. (vets)
Hsve fallen off. Ie jay-z & kayne.

I like old jay-z, kayne before he got down with the masons,
Sigel, old jada, dre 300, old x, and mostly 90’s hip
Hop. This new era skinny jeans shet is wack,
So i barely listen to hip hop, on a constant bases.
Dont even listen to the radio.

      •  Sit down bruh.

      • water_ur_seeds

lol thank you, just seen breda say it was of the best albums EVER lol wtf

      • water_ur_seeds

Watch the throne WAS WACK! they could do better.

    • Tony G.

yo stfu…the man will be relevant until he chooses not to be

  • Jaymalls

It’s not dropping this year… Jay-Z’s engineer, Young Guru already stated Jay is doing his solo this year and WTT will most likely follow late 2013!

P.S. WTT was the best rap album last year by far… That album sounded like nothing on the radio, appealed to a wide demographic and wasn’t just purchased by young teenagers who roller blade with kneck tattoos and have no stamps in their passports!!!
WTT spawned not only the best rap tour last year w/ no guest apperances but was also THE HIGHEST GROSSING HIPHOP TOUR (top 20 highest grossing of ALL tours last year).

    • Sexy_Sabe

      so true

    • Kanye West

Thats why it cleared the grammys and forced ymcmb to sit down and shut up.

  • Larry ‘Loyal’ Hume

wwt2 should be interesting, if trey and drake do a collab album with the same energy they had on the tracks they did before they really blew like “invented sex” or successful”, then that album gona be crazy

  • You know the only reason why Trey Songz and Drake would do an album together is to exponentially increase their sex life by the thousands. Millions, probably.

    • Kanye West

No offence but wasnt Trey Songz accused of being gay last year and actually turned out to be true on twitter?

  • rep87

No news so ahh drag up Jayz and Kanye they doing another album part two to watch the throne sounds like a lie you guys are bored and boring us with this

  • How does a Trey Songz & Drake album added to another Kanye and Jay-Z brag session amount to a great year for music? Lupe and Jay-E dropping albums would make it a great year…Drake and Trey Songz just add the feminine flavor.

  • D_Ably

The thrones for faggits with delusions of grandeur. Real hip hop don’t give a a shit about this. Sit down pretty boys, ya borin.

  • immackulate

watch the throne 2 … i never took time timeout to watch the 1st one.
rather listen to classic R&B … these niggahs fell the phuck off fam!

  • Mos High

I rate this website, because they if they throw up anything with Jay Z in it, the haters will coming running in. All these people saying the album was trash, Etc. That is to damn funny. Its opinion so you can say who like. But most of you will say you hate the album because you actually listened to it. 98% of the albums not mix tapes most of you wouldnt even take the time to listen to.  Its so flippn funny. I have to say your a truthfully a damn liar if say that album wasnt at least decent.  Sorry I guess most of you will turn to waka flaka or oj juice or some other gangsta i sell drugs up and down I only get hoars but i hate hoars music.  I want some of you to name me 5 albums in 2011 that topped watch the throne…Ill check back in couple of hours
