While DMX thinks Drake is a “piece of sh*t” for putting together Aaliyah’s posthumous album without the help of her longtime producers, Missy and Timbaland, Lil’ Wayne thinks Drake’s “awesome” for tackling the project. But what else would Lil’ Wayne say? Drake is his artist!

In a recent interview with the AP, Drizzy’s boss tells the mag that Drake’s involvement in the album is a “good move.” According to Weezy, Drake is perfect for the project because he is so “thoughtful.” PAUSE!!!

“Everybody knows what Aaliyah did and done for music and culture, period, and it’s always good to do that, for not only for people like that, just for her fans – you know what I mean?” Lil’ Wayne said in a recent interview.

It looks like despite all of the controversy, Drake is still going to go forward with producing the album. At least he has one person in his corner.
