But if you don’t…”ya’ll gon learn today.” opulentlivingofftop Reblogged this on Opulent Living Off Top. $28825362 It would be amazing to see what Black people in America could do if they pulled their resources together, taught the youth to be better Black men and to look out for each other, protected Black women and forced a changed of the Black male image in music, movies, and news coverage. But this is just a song and no movement will come from it. Jay-Z and Common won’t hold a million man rally in Chicago. They won’t call on other Black millionaires to hold town hall meetings and hold rallies with poor and middle class Black people. They won’t hold other rappers responsible for lyrics that PROMOTE Black on Black violence and leading young black men to a life with no end. They WON’T be leaders. Great song but empty hearted at the end of the day. For Jay it’s how can I make my next million dollar deal to show niggas I’m better than they will ever be. For Common it’s… hell I have no clue what Common does. Okay, I’m done with my rant. Celz Jay could do more period no excuses but he does do shyt more than most celebrities.. And Common does his shyt too.. Totally agree with you though.. ItGoesDownINtheDM 2 people cant save the world wishfull thinking … michael jackson solved this issue long time ago but until people start taking personal responsibility we will always be in a rut … no matter how many people you rally up .. there will always be that 1 bad apple to spoil the bunch and that person could end up looking just like you and come from the same roots … just look @ MLK …. DJ7 This is a revolutionary track… Modern day P.E. Going right at the system. More emcees need to jump on this and go in…. set off a chain reaction. It’s expanding beyond Cuba… Jay Elec where you at G? Celz This is what Hip-Hop is supposed to be I don’t care if I don’t agree with you or not just say something intelligent.. l3gaci Reblogged this on L3GACI. paul blake Talking about the mic he’s using being from china is an interesting analysis to make. Why do we get all up in arms about communist repressive Cuba and stay relatively silent on all the “made in china” imports? Adopefemalemc thas rite. Talk that sh1t, Jay & Common. $11625525 I just hope Jay knew Common was going to spit on it, then need to get Nas on that or Dead Prez, now that could be sizzling! DollasTX i approve.
