NEW MUSIC: Drake – “Girls Love Beyoncé”

(AllHipHop News) Last week Drake promised two new tracks featuring the Canadian rapper/singer would be coming soon, and over the past 24 hours the Young Money member kept his word.

Yesterday (March 15) the DJ Khaled led “No New Friends” featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Future debuted, and early this morning Drizzy kept the new music coming when his latest song “Girls Love Beyoncé” hit the net.

The ode to Mrs. Carter contains the hook from Destiny’s Child “Say Me Name” sung by singer-songwriter James Fauntleroy of the production team The Y’s and No I.D.’s Cocaine 80s collective. Fauntleroy is a Roc Nation signee who previously worked on G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer album.

This time around Fauntleroy partners with Drake to craft a tune reminiscent of the 90’s R&B sound produced by acts like an early Destiny’s Child.

Drake has shown love to the girl group’s “Say My Name” before. He covered the Grammy-winning 1999 hit song on tour in the past.

I love how you can get rich and think you are fly doing the same thing over and over in America. The bar is low, where are the future artists?, Its your turn, and it will be easy to “takeover”.

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

thats music tho it always comes full circle and @ this point the library of music is crazy how much further can the genre be stretched … it takes time to innovate new sounds … and even then there is nothing new under the sun !!

      • kristin

IM talking about DRAKES same old flow personally. All of his songs can run into each other like a medley. (Of course its your job to defend him and his though.)

      • Weedras

man you just sound like a straight up bad minded person… dude gave you and insightful response and you had to come with a dumbass one smh… you’re just a hatin’ ass mofo… for your info most artists body of work can be put together and be a medley.. because when you switch up too much you risk alienating fans or just putting out sub par shit… smh..

      • kristin

He said nothing like your interpretation HE SAID : “thats music tho it always comes full circle and @ this point the library of music is crazy how much further can the genre be stretched … it takes time to innovate new sounds … and even then there is nothing new under the sun !!” NOW, YOUR WEAK ASS REPLY is a lie. Most so called artist today do that. Outside of Jagged Edge, I dont know any other artist that stays in the same key and uses the same flow every song but Drake. Even Wayne can flip a style sometimes. Im not mad, Im just calling it like I see it, your mad, like hes your friend or something LMAO. Why do you think Started on the Bottom was so shocking for people? BECAUSE his boring ass finally changed up that same ass flow. Shame on you for being so easy to please. Come on 40, get off the internet. You act like thats the first time you ever heard that. (This is why rap is failing) If you know so much, help him stop repeating so much and get off the computer trolling his comments. SMH A hater calling me a hater for not agreeing like a good slave robot.

      • Weedras

for someone who seems to know why rap is failing why are you around a computer making noise? why don’t get up off your dumb ass and go produce or be involved in some way… and i aint even a Drake fan like that but i can still tell a dumbass hater when i see one… Kevin Washington replied to the rubbish you post earlier and look at your remarks, you got offended over someone posting something insightful in reply to your drivel… your a bad minded individual plain as that and its not about you tryna say something its how you say it and your reaction that makes you a hating ass mofo…

      • timwest1000

Damn man you are all over this dude for a comment? Suck Meat Much? You must be a jew.
Its true yo. Its like singing all of your songs to the tune of mary had a little lamb over and over with slighlty different words, his creativity is done.

      • Weedras

You sound like a jack ass and a racist all in one… the irony is i aint even a fan of dude but idiots such as yourself who if given the chance couldn’t even do the shit the dude does are talking as if ya’ll are experts and it’s quite clear there’s a level of bias (hate) in the verbal diarrhea you spew… a Universe of information is at your finger tips dude go get your dumb ass self educated and stop wallowing in ignorance…

Same old stuff over and over again………again

    • Dick Pimples

Exactly. Aint shit special about Drake’s singing voice at all. And, he’s definitely not better than Chris Brown, like Drake says. Other wise, RiRi would’ve been done co-signed this clown as far as who she fuckin’ wit’. Drake is a style jackin’ ass nigga. Started from the bottom by stealing Weezy’s flow. Then, J Cole. Now, this nigga thinks he’s Andre 3K. Drake is nothing more than a boy band ass nigga, who is aight at singin’, and raps about the same shit every other popular rap nigga raps about. Whupty-fuckin’-doo! LMAO!

      • RMfag

Didnt he steal from Kimye too?

  • MrNoName2K

    Drakes a cornball…
