Tupac Biopic Headed To Production

(AllHipHop News) The long-awaited Tupac Shakur biopic is one step closer to becoming a reality. Morgan Creek Productions and Emmett Furla Films are working with Pac’s mother Afeni Shakur to begin filming Tupac next year. Ms. Shakur will serve as executive producer for the project.  James G. Tupac will cover the iconic artist’s rise to stardom. Neither an official cast nor director for the movie have been announced yet, but Training Day director Antoine Fuqua was attached to the project in 2011.

Emmett Furla Films recently produced 2 Guns starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg. Morgan Creek previously released the Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts movie Dream House.

Production of Tupac will take place in Atlanta, Georgia starting in 2014.

No cast and no director but filming next year?? Now I ain’t no professional movie star or nothin but I’m pretty sure those two things are essential before you can begin filming.

Thug life lives ! Do betta than that biggie saga. None if the characters including
That fake PAC looked remotely like who they were suppose to be potraying .

    • You aint lying! LOL

    • Jame Shivar

Actually they did a good job! Faith and Biggie were played by the best possible!

      • Terrance Goodman

Gravy didnt look like not sound like big. Gorrilla
Black in my opinion . Faith ill grant you that . She was damn
Near spot on. Charlie b more would have killed that though

      • Jame Shivar

Trust homie Gravy did a good job. He sounded like Big to me. Not just like but it is a movie. Charlie B playing Faith? Charlie B should have played herself. There was a glimpse of her character in the movie. Not enough. Gorilla Black is a perp in my opinion. Gravy did his thing bruh. Hell even shorty playing Lil’Kim did her thing! They should have made the movie longer and had Charlie B in there a little more. Touched on Bigs days on the road and all that. That’s just my opinion tho.

      • Terrance Goodman

Charlie got that walk on part type ish .shortie really didnt favor the old Kim for real . N snitching ass gorrilla aside listen to that voice that boy spot on him or old voice over from shyne

  • Dead wrong

This one will be hard to pull off and full of inaccuracies. The real issue holding up the project since day one was… and remains to be “Who will play Pac?” … NOT easy to find an actor that both looks like Pac and can exude that level of self-confidence that Pac had.. Anthony Mackie is a true thespian but he wasn’t even close in that Notorious movie…

    • greenhouse records

freddie gibbs could pull it off

    • El moreno de Queens #Dominican

      gucci mane

    • Jame Shivar

      Brandon Jennings

    dammit he was handsome…

  • Dan_Tebasco

I hope they don’t sugarcoat it and try to make him some sort of saint, Pac wasn’t perfect and that’s part of why we loved him, show both the good side and bad side of him…

  • oceneco

Drake should play Pac, he’s the closest thing hip hop has to Tupac Amaru Shakur,,,,lol

    • Tann01

      Just say no… to life

What you smokin’ on bruh?!” Fck outta here with that sideways sht…” Even in jest…” Muhfckers might think your dead serious…”

I’ve said it many times. Tupac moved around too much to really make a movie about him. Dude was around junkies, bums and dealers. Good luck getting them to share Tupac stories. Biggie was different, his story is in Brooklyn. Pac story is in New York, multiple homeless shelters, Baltimore, Cali, and Atlanta etc. Just too much ground to cover, that’s why we haven’t seen a Tupac movie yet and probably never will.

    • golder1

Thats a dumb statement. Biggie was around bums, junkies, and dealers in Brooklyn. Pac story is not hard to tell it hasnt been told because of greedy between his mother and Shug

      • Jame Shivar

Dude you way off. Get off Pacs tip.

      • Jame Shivar

How was his statement dumb troll? If you were a Pac fan. You should already know Pac’s story. You sound real dumb and keep making dumb statements yourself. Wtf do Shug know about Pac? Not too much, I’m sure

      • golder1

His statement is just as dumb as you are for cosigning that bullshit. did I offend you for commenting on your boyfriends comment. Who said anything about what Shug knew about Pac idiot. If they movie was to be made at the time they trying to make it they need Shugs permission to use music from his Deathrow days since owned Pac’s masters. No what you speak of before you comment young nigga. And if you are a Pac fan you would want his story told because alot of young niggas like yourself dont know anything about this man

      • Jame Shivar

Im 32 . Far from young. I know what I’m talking youuabout.

      • golder1

Your perception is your truth but doesn’t mean you know what you talking. Everyone has an opinion just like everyone has an asshole, so it makes since you would spew bullshit.

Funny how everyone on here know Pac so well! Half of you commenting weren’t even into to or around hip hop when Pac was living! Also I think there have been enough documentaries out there we don’t need another one! Pac R.I.P

    • golder1

If you could read, its not a documentary. Its a biopic dumbass

      • Jame Shivar

Wouldn’t let my comment go thru. So ill make this one short. They are pretty much the same thing. Point being we don’t need another video of any sorts about this man. Think before you open ya gap. I see you like to think you know what you talking about. But you don’t.

      • golder1

Your comment shows your comprehension and vocabulary are elementary because those words do not mean the same. And if you dont want to watch the movie dont support it. So, nigga you need to read before you open your mouth. And what type of niggas says gap… I guess a weak nigga like youself..
