Hip-Hop Rumors: Check What Biggie Song Rick Ross ReMakes On Masterpiece!

Well, well…well!

Rick Ross is about to drop a new album on March 4, called Masterpiece. A lot of people are excited. So, it all went down last night…the listening session. He let a BUNCH of people in the music industry come out and listen to the album. They also included fans too so that they could go out and tell the people what they heard. First of all, the security was reportedly off the CHAIN. They made it hard for people of note to get in. But, people eventually made it in to party up.

Soon, they were album to see the MASTERPIECE. When I say see, I mean I heard they were privy to a big movie that Rick Ross put together for the album. Since I wasn’t there, I don’t have much more to offer.

BUT…I heard Rick Ross did a remake of this classic Biggie song.

I don’t know if Rozay should be putting this energy out there, but I can’t wait to hear it.

He’s trying to be Biggie. His whole career he’s been trying to be him.

    • therealest1

What a life and career transition huh? William Roberts went from being a C.O. to a B.I.G. knockoff. Its almost as bad a knockoff as the time Renegade was trying to be Ultimate Warrior in WCW.

  • World Dominator

William ‘Officer Ricky FAKE Rick Ross’ is the BIGGEST FRAUD in Hip Hop History! ‘Playing’ the role of a ‘drug boss’ while working for the Feds & tryin’ to be B.I.G.! He’s a talentless one dimensional man boob flappin’ short fat f*ck & an embarrassment to REAL LEGENDS like PAC, BIGGIE & JAY-Z! F*CK THAT FAKE F*CK!

    • ola dioss

hey hey! but he’s a likeable fraud ok!! (does Drake impersonation)

    • DaKydd

It’s funny that people have a view of who real and who fake all off bias. Realistically most rappers lie about what they speak on in songs. 90% of rappers use someone’s elses name like Biggie Smalls, Scarface, Capone and Nore. Tupac wasn’t a gangsta. If you read up on him he went to a school of arts, doing plays my nigga. Dr. Dre wasn’t gansta. Aint nothing change in Hip Hop. People been bragging about a life they aint live forever.

      • World Dominator

But PAC & BIGGIE (who WAS a drug dealer) acknowledged that & those that influenced them, William Roberts was arrogant as F*CK when the real Rick Ross got out of prison & should have shown RESPECT to him, using his name, image, character, stories & legacy as his ‘own’, rather than DISRESPECT him.
        For THAT alone, he’ll ALWAYS be a FAKE & a FRAUD & a PUNK!

      • ZUBU

Yo bro that was early in Pac’s life when he went to the school of arts in Baltimore MD aka Bodymore Murderland with Jada Pinkett. By the time Pac hit Cali Pac had flipped so yeah Pac was gangsta. Tell me blasting an undercover ATL cop ain’t gangsta, and living to tell about it, gangsta. Big was gangsta too he was in them lanes getting his paper, was he a kingpin hell no but he was gangsta. 50 was gangsta as well, Boo Boo was getting his paper. Easy E, was gangsta he straight financed Ruthless records with street money, gangsta. Now Dre was not gangsta, and as you indicated most of the dudes are not gangsta but a lot are. The WU a few of them brothas was gangsta, they say Ghost and Rae both did not play at all, and we know Old Dirty was straight crazy once again getting in shootout with cops, getting shot.

      • DaKydd

But was pac that same gangsta when he start rhyming about it? Was it art imitating life or life imitating art? Biggie did sell drugs and i’m not discounting that at all. I’m not discounting the people were in the streets. I know about Wu and everyone. But niggas was and still is quick to judge rick ross for things exaggerating his life when you seriously can find that in most of rap. Who get’s the same hate as Rick Ross? If you not gone to check everyone’s background and call them out why single out one person for doing what other people have been doing for years? That’s my question. Most them niggas FRAUDS.

      • ZUBU

Bro when Pac shot the ATL cop Pac was famous lol so yeah he was rhyming about it and living it.
Ross should have just come clean. I think brotha (Jayson C. Williams) said it above if Ross had of spun it different than people would not hate. IJS….

      • DaKydd

But if you’re talking about the shooting as him being gangsta that was 93. That was after he was already rapping about being a gangsta. Prior to that he ain’t got that checkered past like a BIG got. He was a back up dancer. Let’s be real here. He was rapping about being a gangsta before he got into all that. I’m a old school hip hop head. I remember when this stuff went down. I was in high school.

  • JamalFromGhostwriter

Should make it a bonus track. To try and make it a focal part of the project is really lame.

  • Reblogged this on PAULDAVYBLOGnews.

  • RichFromBX

until dudes in the game pull up his skirt this cat isn’t going anywhere – cats are still trying to get features on his albums and so long as that continues he’s going to continue. The game has to turn it’s back on him for anything to happen.

  • Y.O

  • WeakSauce

I can’t believe no one in the studio had the balls to stop this fake ass nikka from touching a legends work of art!

    • RapItUp

Who’s gonna step up to Diddy though?

      • WeakSauce

Diddy is a bitch just trying to get money of the Publshing

      • hoeyuno

If this was 98 I woulda said the same thing but a man doesn’t get and stay in the position diddy is in by being a soft ninja..

      • Jayson C Williams

But who’s stepping to him? He been running round ATL like a king since jermaine dupri was hot. He got his feet solid in the ATL. Puffs a music paper ganagsta

      • Yall be sleeping. …puff ol dude used to be in the game right…puff f*** round and be harder than yall think…lmao…maybe…maybe not. Like em or not bruh a hustler…

      • Jayson C Williams

We saying the same thing bro

      • ZUBU

Yeah bro I saw a show and the real Frank Lucas shouts out Puff’s dad. Frank was happy that someone connected to that era made it to the top, or the son of someone from that era. Yeah Puff got hustla in his blood.
Having said that I don’t really care for the brotha, just my opinion. But you can’t knock the hustle.

      • Jayson C Williams

Yea puffs dad was in Nicky Barnes gang forgot what he called them again. But he was a true gangsta but puff grew up off his pops drug money and was able to go to prep school than college

      • Oh that was meant for bruh above you. Wrong button, on me.

      • Jayson C Williams

      • Afi Keita James

and a disgrace to biggie’s family to get royalty checks for b.s. like this.

  • Roni

    its called Mastermind dumbass.

  • bigdoe6

Not feeling it. This is a chess move by Diddy to get publishing. Smh.

    • TruthHurts

Not sure if I’m feeling it or not… but I definitely agree with your rationale. Very keen observation sir!

    • hoeyuno

  • ImFred ImRico

see I was right the last time….it’s Mastermind not Masterpiece. so stupid

I guess diddy has the right to pimp out biggies music as he sees fit. hopefully bigs kids get some of the kickbacks…

    • Jayson C Williams

I agree but it does generate royalties to his kids hopefully.. I haven’t seem faith drop any music of note lately. Plus Ross is a biggie wanna be we all know that. Fat black ugly as hell… Lol

      • Afi Keita James

Who cares if this generates royalties to biggie’s kids, this is a disgrace to anyone who does this, shame on p. diddy for this, he has ruined the legacy of the late notorious b.i.g., pure scumbag.
makes me sick at how music has become.

      • Jayson C Williams

The article leads us to come up with some sort of conclusion on why this is going on, so don’t be mad cause I have a valid point. Shame on who? It’s the music business it’s always been like that. If it’s shame on him than shame on your favorite rappers. Ppl just open their mouths an spew hate and don’t realize how dumb they sound

      • hoeyuno

True. the music was always made to generate income..anybody can pay homage to our past MCs but that doesn’t mean we have to like, buy or support. there’s no need for people to get angry over the shit..

    • David Gonz

    • Afi Keita James

this is a disgrace to anyone who does this, what a shame.

  • kwimby72

The streets don’t buy records they sell you burned copies 6 for $20 The buying public likes him so does the industry and granted he puts together good albums love em or hate him he was already managed by puff probably a good trade for exposure on Revolt

  • S*** don’t surprise nobody…already remade Freeway Ricky whole everything….life, persona, beard and everything Freeway. Production on fat boy records be right tho I ain’t gon stunt…fraud or not fat boy music be (insert ur own comment)…

    • Jayson C Williams

It’s cool.. He’s not boring took him 10 years to get the right image and flow down to this point

      • I used to think Ross was str8 too but not so much anymore after thinking about it whilst in the clouds. The guy he imitating still living and breathing and there is a difference. Plus Freeway really did that, how would u feel about a clone running round portraying you? I do remember him on that 1st ruff ryders cd back in the day for you boys that used to listen to new York hiphop…..

      • Jayson C Williams

I’m fr nyc so I get your rhetoric.. But yet in still Rozay had close ties to some of Americas most murderous regimes. Instead of hiding the fact he was a co he should of just spun it n been like yea I was making sure kites came in and out with dope or something.. CO’s are prisoners too but he made it seem like niggaz was pulling his card so he lost points..

      • BigHomie337

Close ties to some of America’s most murderous regimes? Kmfsl. And I guess Macklemore really deserved those Grammys. Zoe pound was the biggest gang in Miami and none of those dudes heard of Ross. If his ties were so deep why did he camel all them shows when the GD’s were on his ass? If u like his music cool, but Ross is the biggest fraud in the history of hip hop.

      • Jayson C Williams

See ppl open their mouths and don’t even have the facts. The fact is the BOOBIE boys were the most murderous regime In his era. So pound maybe dangerous and lethal but I wasn’t talking about them. If u know his music and the facts he grew up with a few of them in carol city.. So please talk facts bro not out the side of your ass. I’m nowhere near a Ross fan but I’m not a fuxing hater! You just stay in lake Charles or what ever part of Louisiana you from cause you don’t know what you talking about.. Respectfully.. In fact go and google that gang you might learn some shit

      • Truth Powell

So Zoe Pound has to know every dude active in the streets? Do you hear yourself? Sometimes peoples paths simply do not cross. And Little Haiti and Carol City aren’t exactly next door to each other.

      • as a CO he was the god damn employee of the month!!!… CO’s are bitch boys. they have no power they have to run the the guy in charge to be told what to do. lol..

  • Immortal

After reading the comments below, and thinking about it, I cannot be mad a Ross. Dudes faker than RMFag acting gay or Immanaporoz acting straight, but the real culprit here is Puff. Dudes been pimping every and anyone that gets signed to Bad Boy and when he’s tired of you, he stalls your career until you pop up on some looser reality show (Joc anyone?). Loyalty to friends is not in Puffs repertoire, but loyalty to green and himself is. I’d even ask if Fif cod come and deaden dudes career, but that’s been tried and IMO Fif took an L on it. Besides it could be worse….Drake could be doing the remake with Beiber doing Puffs part.

i could of sworn his cd was called mastermind…. it should be called “i been gettin extorted since day one”

    • GregSki86

i do recall the nigga was going to call it mastermind, that shit sounded better than materpiece

  • Afi Keita James

Notorious B.I.G. fans are not happy with this, it’s gonna be a disgrace, I Don’t give a flying crap who gets royalties to biggie’s family, it’s a disgrace to anyone, they should never touch a pole of biggie’s legacy again, let him rest in peace
it’s already pissing off biggie’s original fans and true hip-hop heads.

    • Jayson C Williams

Shut up! You sound dumb. Half of biggies production on his first album came from sample from dr dre and were given for free by Suge knight. His second album was heavy sampled too, so it’s more about puff managing Ross. But every time someone plays Ross tracks that wasn’t a biggie fan.. Than guess what? They become biggie fans too. You have no business skills or marketing iq. Just a loud mouth hater with an African name! Pissed off biggies fans?? Lol speak for your damn self I’m from Kings county I ain’t pissed off! I WANT every skinny jean wearing muthafucka too know how nice biggie was and if it takes this than SO BE IT! You sound like the mad rapper. Go sit down it ain’t that serious. You ain’t prob have shit to say when Ross was claiming he was the new biggie on we taking over? Or how Nelly and countless other rappers use his bars for hooks? Nah because ur just a Ross hater. Stfu

      • GregSki86

      • rick ross dont deserve to be blessing anything biggie done did ya dig…

We all know Ross is a fraud but lets be real in todays rap, how many rappers have really and do really live the life they portray? Not very many. As far as the song goes, i feel like this as long as he did good i have no complaints as a Biggie fan myself. BIG isnt the only deceased rapper or musician for that matter to have his shit sampled, remade, or whatever else… hell he did his share of sampling and remaking when he was alive too as did Pac, Nas, Jay, and every other rapper

  • D_Ably

Diddys a leech. He’d dig BIG up if he could and turn his corpse into a puppet dancing around in the back of the video to his next shtty love song.

    • The Reality Report

      Well said.

    • baller187

that shit is funny cuz your right

  • The Reality Report

Sometimes the best way to pay homage to a person is to let their legacy speak for itself.

GET OVER IT…………….if you don’t own DEF JAM, guess what Rozay is droppin’ a soon to be re-made classic. its entertainment who makes the best mob & gangsta’s movies? brian de palma & martin scorese. ain’t neither of these italian white boys done dirt or do dirt. so keepin it real is like chris rock said “keepin real dumb, nigga i don’t know dat shit”. just appreciate the music while rick ross can bring it to uswhile hes here. ain’t nobody promised tomorrow. ONE
