Lil’ Wayne Joins Tidal As Artist Owner

After releasing his new single “Glory” via TIDAL, it has been announced that Lil’ Wayne has joined the streaming service as an artist owner, according to reports.

“We’re honored for Lil Wayne to join TIDAL,” said TIDAL executive Vania Schlogel. “His eagerness to release an exclusive TIDAL track and schedule a TIDAL X performance is just another example of how passionately artists care about getting their music to fans.”

No details on the TIDAL X performance as of yet. TIDAL is trying to build a reputation for being the first to release exclusive music and videos. Since Weezy’s Free Weezy Album has not been released yet after he said it would drop in March, it is possible that it may be released via the streaming service.

Other artist owners include J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce and Madonna.

Slowly but surely you’re gonna see more artists doing this on Tidal. I’m waiting on the first non hip-hop act to do a Tidal X performance. That’s when it really gets interesting.

Who gives a damn about tidal? The only things this site talks about now either has to do with Tidal, the Kardashians/gay Bruce, who died from butt shots, how broke Tyga is and who shot what tour bus or who shot who over some s*** they brought on themselves…..

I wonder what is the legality around this and cash money. Y’all crazy if you think these artist’s fan base won’t follow them to Tidal. As always it boils down to supply and demand.

“His eagerness to release an exclusive TIDAL track and schedule a TIDAL X performance is just another example of how passionately artists care about getting their music to fans.” Please, this service has nothing to do with getting their music to fans. They’re not fooling anyone.

He did that to try to save his failing music service, it wasn’t for the fans.

You must be on “I hate everything about Jay Z crusade.”

      • The Truth✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Nah, I give props when it’s due.

      • Paradox1521

Are you paying 20 dollars a month for tidal?

      • The Truth✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

        I’m paying $10 a month. I also have a great paying job.

      • Paradox1521

If you had a great paying job you’d be paying the 20 dollars a month for the ‘high quality” music streaming, the main selling point of the service. Instead you’re paying extra for a service you could get cheaper with spotify or Pandora. But you choose to get the cheapest option tidal has to offer because you’re a Stan

I pay for exclusive shit with great quality while y’all wait for the shitty rips.

Lol I bet if Jay z pissed on you and told you it was raining you would believe him

      • The Truth✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Nah. I bet you wear bootleg Jordans.

      • Paradox1521

I bet you became a nets fan when Jay bought a stake in the team and have a closet filled with only Rocawear clothing

      • The Truth✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Definitely not. I bet all your friends make fun of your bootleg Jordans though.

Jay z would not even shake your hand if you walked up to him. You can keep worshipping your false idols and dreaming of Monopoly money in your sleep.

People who ride jays nuts feel his money is theirs too in a very sad and groupie sense.

He would not even acknowledge you if you tried to dap him up yet you buy his music and defend him on online forums.

I’ve met him before. Cool guy.
