Is There Some Tension Between Mobb Deep And Capone-N-Noreaga?

(AllHipHop Rumors) What’s going on? These guys are like two of the best groups from the New York 90s era – Mobb Deep and CNN. But, some stuff is being promoted suggesting there is friction. This may or may not be beef. Now, normally we don’t put out info that really puts people on blast but this is already on Instagram! This is how its done in 2016. Stuff does not stay in the dark for long.

And here is Nore already addressing it on “Da Radio.”

I thought these dudes loved each other. I know for a fact that CNN says Mobb Deep is the best rap duo ever! Why would there be sour grapes now? C’mon Queens! We look up to you.

UN group recommends ‘reparatory justice’ for African Americans

Molly Jackson,Christian Science Monitor Sun, Jan 31 1:32 PM PST

      gtfoh????? for real?

      • In Black America Radio

yup. so im curious to know how the moors can still make their argument about nationality when Black American issues ARE being addressed on the world stage

Scary ass little niggas LMAO! They been fucked up since “Hit’em up” and Jay finished the job with “Takeover” LMAO!

  • LoverOfHipHop

“Now, normally we don’t put out info that really puts people on blast” Imma stop you right there

  • Super_Hero

Yes the beef is old but Prodigy brought back those old feelings with his book. Capone didn’t appreciate what was said in the book and threaten Prodigy on youtube. Nore made a song using prodigy on the hook because prodigy made him look like a shooter in the interviews promoting the book.

  • Executive

Now this is a beef I could entertain, bars and bars.

  • Markus

Generating buzz through conflict is the new promotion. Doubt if this works for them.

    • Perfect Timing

The NEW promotion? Bruh That’s been going on since Tupac

  • disqus_lcLBazVyTd

they been beefing for a minute though

    • Frank

Word up. Capone been had beef with prodigy.ayne not beef but last More said on breakfast club that they don’t get along.

  • ancientGOD83

all of them washed UP….. prodigy need to make songs like “genesis” and get back to spitting knowledge…these cats too old…and havnt made good songs in a min…. “beef” is the worse concept that happened in rap…. keep that street ish off the media and in the STREETS….if you gonna put it on wax…just make at least a descent song

    • #Mr.Toadman AKA Toastman

True they arnt gettin any younger but bruh prodigy and havoc are a savage duo.

      • ancientGOD83

not in a loooooong time….to much internal beef, gossip books, and 20 years old beefs like this one…. noreaga got the “good belt gang” lol…if soulja boy would have made that up, ny would have went in on him…realistically they havnt made nothing good in 10 years

    • TheAfroRican

I don’t know about “washed up”. Prodigy’s “Albert Einstein” is pretty nice.

  • Wetwork510

This shit has been going on since the early 90’s

  • that dude

Prodigy scared of Capone. On another note, the Albert Einstein album from P is crazy….

    • TheAfroRican

Word. That album has been on rotation for the past couple of years for me.

  • kane pacino

fuk having beef from the mid 90s . . get your grown man on n get that money . . don’t let ego’s n chattypatty people get in the way . .

  • JerZeBoy

these guys had beef for the longest….Nore shot Prodigy years back(so they say, it was in the book im not dry snitching)…….where have you been? they have always had beef

    • RonRico Jones

No he didn’t. That shit wasn’t in the book either.

      • JerZeBoy

they had beef for like 20yrs. he shot between them and hit his man here is the part from the autobiography.
One night that winter, Hav and I were on the block with Karate Joe, Gotti, Nitty, Trip, this kid we called Bill Cosby, and this other kid Johnny. Havoc started flipping out, saying he heard Tragedy was f——g with his lady Shawna on the low and he wanted to step to Tragedy about it. We all walked over to Capone’s building next door where Tragedy, Capone, and N.O.R.E. hung out. Hav knocked on Capone’s door and asked him to tell Tragedy to come outside. Tragedy came out with N.O.R.E. and Capone.

“What’s up, man, you f——g with Shawna?” Hav asked. Tragedy said it wasn’t true but Hav wasn’t trying to hear it. “I know you f——g with Shawna, stop lying!” Hav punched Tragedy in the face and knocked him down. While he was getting back up, Karate Joe warned Tragedy, “You better not hit him back!” Hav punched Tragedy and knocked him down again while we surrounded them, watching. N.O.R.E. was getting nervous seeing the n—a who he thought had strength in QB getting his ass beat—he was worried he was gonna be next. So he reached for his gun, pulled it out, and shot one bullet at
the ground in between all of us.

The bullet bounced off the cement and hit my man Johnny in the shinbone. N.O.R.E. ran for his life out of the projects. Tragedy and Capone ran into the building and someone drove Johnny to the hospital right away. The next day, Johnny came through the block on crutches with a cast on his leg. N.O.R.E. could never show his face in Queensbridge again.

      • RonRico Jones

Like I said and you just showed he never shot Prodigy, that shit wasn’t in the book. He shot Ty Nitty.

      • JerZeBoy

I was using text to speech and said Prodigys book and it came out twisted. My point was whoever says they don’t, or never had beef, hasn’t a clue

  • Mrs. Davis804

Why is Akademics’ name always associated with bringing up old hype, source, xxl mag beef? Facilitate new beginnings, and fresh material. Geez.

  • laddertheory

old news….. these dudes is like 90 years old
neither group releases music that anyone listens to anyway who cares if they don’t do a show together..

    • hoeyuno

Hip Hop the only type of music where the new generation shows no respect for the homies that paved the way..Old Rock groups from the 70s can tour once a year and cop a mil each cause their fans are mad loyal..and never even have to put out new music….

      • Vinsanity

Yea but hiphop is a young man’s game while being a Rockstar is forever. Willie Nelson will sell out shows until he dies while rappers from the 80’s and 90’s struggle to jump on new artist track just to be a feature.

      • Saiyan Prince

That’s because of what the homie said. The youngins not showing respect for those before them. New rock groups always show love to the older ones. New rappers be like, “Nah, I ain’t feeling them. Them niggas old. Nobody wants to hear nothing from them.”

      • TheAfroRican

What’s sad is the fans in Europe and Asia show more love to the older rappers. They will pay a grip to see artists like KRS-One, DMX, and even to see DJ Premier and Pete Rock work the turntables.

      • Knickfan4life

You right Pete rock said he don’t need America’s money and he is right. I mean who told people that life stops at 40?

      • TheAfroRican

Word. I don’t blame him one bit.

Pete and Premier had 20,000 fans in Tokyo to see them DJ in ONE concert last year. Enough said.

      • Vinsanity

Plus us, the consumers out grow the artist as we get older. If we out grow the artist how’s the artist going to make money? If the artist cant make money hows the artist going to make music? The new generation of fans already have their artist they can relate to and don’t care about our generations artist.

      • Knickfan4life

How do you outgrow artist dude no disrespect but you are saying stupid sh…..t

      • Vinsanity

You were born without comprehension or just a little kid. Like a child everything has to be explained to you. We’re done, quit arguing with youreself. I feel sorry for your mutha.

      • Knickfan4life

Dude I’m older than you that’s why I’m done talking this foolishness with you creativity has no age limit period .bye

      • Vinsanity

But you can’t understand how O.G rappers can’t make money off new material or build new fans so they don’t release new music instead just do old school shows with other old rappers for old school fans….oh and I seen P.E live and they ant no rap group they Rockstars, they had a fuckin band live on stage.

      • hoeyuno

Right..Because the kids that like rock music pay homage.

      • Vinsanity

That wasn’t me who said that.

      • hoeyuno

I was giving a explanation to what you said about rockstars being forever and rappers from the 80s and 90s struggling…

      • Vinsanity

Oh but it’s true, even young fans today bow down when Ozzy hit’s the stage. But when O.G rappers come through young fans today shrug their shoulder, say “Hes too old”and then accuse the O.G. Rapper for jacking the young rappers swag when really it’s the other way around. Image has a lot to do with it, a old Rockstar looks dope while a old rapper looks childish.

      • Knickfan4life

Hip hop is not a young man’s game that is a myth Marley marl and Pete rock and flash are so booked up overseas and make way more than the “young” rappers. overseas do not listen to these “new” rappers

      • EniggaMA

yea its like that for alot of 90’s dudes. just messec up we dont do that here.

      • Vinsanity

And you believe that? Show me some evidence. It’s probably not even like that. Those cats are probably invited to the show but aren’t headlining it. I can admit when I’m wrong so show me the proof. Today when O.G. rappers do shows its usually at a casino, small club, or at a so and so and friends super concert and it’s all for a reason.

      • Knickfan4life

You can go right on Pete rocks in stagram and see all the sold out shows overseas and you can go on Marley marl website and see all the stuff he is producing. Hip Hop is bigger than America keep telling people that. Tribe called quest still got people waiting for the new album. And your argument gets even more silly when you look at the ages of Kanye west,Jay z,Lil Wayne and future.

      • Vinsanity

I could give you actual numbers if you want and time lines and show you how silly your argument looks but you still haven’t giving me shit so………

      • Knickfan4life

How is hip hop mattere fact how is music a young man’s game who says that foolishness but people who don’t know music. Drake is about to be 30 years old also so what are you saying? 😂😂😂😂

      • Vinsanity

The conversation was about the difference between rock fans and raps fans and maturity and how it relates. Drake is a hiphop artist????Lolololololololololol…omfg…..lololololol…..we’re done here.

      • Knickfan4life

You obviously don’t even know what you wrote 15 hours ago 😂😂😂😂😂😂anyway suckit up older hip hop artist are going nowhere .music is music and again age means nothing considering LL still does 15, 000 seat arena shows.

      • Vinsanity

“It’s a younger man’s game today in a lot of ways, so I felt more happy to put out music now than I ever have before because my lane is a great place to be at,” he says. “It took a lot of time striking the iron, breaking down walls to be where I am. What better place and time than to put out something new when the world is watching?”  -Nas. If 1 of the goats of hip hop can admit it why do you have to so ignorant, do you know better than Nas….keep arguing with yourself I’m done here.

      • Knickfan4life

Q: You’re among the first generation of hip hop artists to move into midlife. Is the rap world a happy place for older artists?

A: Well, I came in as an older person. On my first record I was 27 years old, and at that particular time if you were over 18, 19, I mean, I came in ancient, and I’m the fifth oldest in the group. Flav is a year older than me. He was born in 1959. And me and Griff were born on the same day. We always say the fact is you’ve just got to be yourself. We grew up fans of Stevie Wonder and Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, the Tempations, all these people that were older than us, but we didn’t know how old they were. All we knew was they put out good music- chuck d

      • TheBlackItalian

Their main fan base is grown now. They ain’t really on that coon shit no more. Nuttin wrong w that.

      • Vinsanity

Nothing at all. I appreciate the artist more as he grows.

      • TheAfroRican

True. However, rappers like Salt-N-Pepa, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, and Big Daddy Kane still touring and getting some nice crowds.

      • hoeyuno

I see Salt N Pepa and Doug E Fresh posters annually around my way. I love seeing that ish..

      • TheAfroRican

Heck yeah. It is awesome for them to still get love.

      • EniggaMA

yes and no. their fan base is still the ones that always rocked with them. not the younger crowd.

      • hoeyuno

No. Both. Every generation gets groups of white kids rockin tshirts from all those old school rock bands. Kiss, Led Zepplin etc….

      • EniggaMA

cant argue with that. disagree somewhat but its no big deal.

      • TheBlackItalian

Hip Hop is bitch shit for niggas. Soap opera where a bunch of niggas get together and talk about the next man.

  • Jared

Prodigy don’t want to take the fade with Capone

    • ApricotNapalm

      Capone wanna shoot that nga

    • EniggaMA

prodigy aint little no more. just short

  • Papi Peligro

I think NORE summed up that book best

“I don’t know why he would bring up a situation where they clearly lost”

  • Tyfromthechi

Capote snitched on lil kim and junior mafia

    • EniggaMA

he only stated what was already known. shit was on camera

  • Sean Power

nore address this on his last breakfast club interview

    • TheBlackItalian

Nore been addressing it since the book came out. Nothin new.

  • Golgo 13

surprised this is coming from dj akademiks

  • mo

    prodigy and capone have beef

    • EniggaMA

  • Black

Capone said he just wants to shoot a fair one with Prodigy cuz Prodigy said some sh%t in his book. This makes Prodigy look like the ultimate sucka. After y’all fight it’ll be squashed, can’t avoid that man forever. SMFH

  • Damany G

Prodigy scared after he tried to play Capone with that book. I lost a lot of respect for Prodigy as a Man and definitely as an Emcee, he straight up fell off lyrically!!

  • this is old and nore spoke on this months ago on the breakfast club… next!

  • El Dogga

What???? Mobb Deep and CNN been beefing for over 12 years!!

    • D_Ably

Exactly what i was thinking. This sht ain’t no where near new.

      • El Dogga

The person who wrote this article is clearly a 22 year old!

BREAKING NEWS!!! KOOL MOE DEE & LL COOL J get into a NEW rap feud!! smh

  • hoeyuno

LA, LA big city of dreams………….
