Black Lives Matter To Jay Z: “Where Them Dollas At?”

Now, Jay Z is an ally to the movement now so don’t get it twisted. But headlines and misinformation can be the prevailing truth these days. Last week, it was reported that Jay Z and Tidal cut a $1.5 million check to various groups, including Black Lives Matter. I have sources that tell me that no monies hit the account of Black Lives Matter proper. Proper means, the official BLM. There may be some offshoot that got some money to the tune of $1.5 million, but not the official BLM. This is the closest they came to giving a statement.

Black Lives Matter

Here is a list of the other groups that apparently have received money from Tidal.

Opportunity Agenda, Hands Up United, Sankofa.Org, Community Coalition, Dream Defenders, Black Youth Project, Baltimore Justice Fund, Empowerment Development Corporation, Million Hoodies, NY Justice League, Ohio Students Association/Organizing Collaborative, the Trayvon Martin Foundation, the Michael O.D. Brown We Love Ours Sons and Daughters Foundation, and the Oscar Grant Foundation.

I suppose its all good. All of these orgs need our support and love, if we are really about what we say we are about.

Fucc outta here… I hate articles that make you do the damn research. If you donate money to Hillary Clinton then you donated to help Democrats. Even though the Democrat Party didn’t get any and she may have opponents who are Democrats. I like what BLM is doing but they pride themselves as being an org with no real leader and all that. MAYBE that is why he didn’t donate. There needs to be clear accountability for checks that large to be cashed.

You are a charity, why are they behaving like entitled spoiled brats for? Spoiled Americans.

    • Weedras

Yup! The BLM movement or those who are at the helm tend to act entitled and have strength for those who are in support of them rather than those who are against them…

  • Brindle

The Black Lives Matter movement does need to figure out a lead group/main head quarters.

More than money, those with the type of influence that Jay has should be more involved with the direction of where these organizations are planning to use the donations they use both big and small. It would draw others to the cause and give hope that there’s an actual movement to bring about change. A lot of skeptics out there.

BLM movement is so fvvking fragmented i doubt its easy to donate to them.. not to mention they are too many chefs in the pot i’m sure many have now seen the twitter beef between members of the movement basically a pissing contest of who is more “pro black”… i’ve seen them run up on Bernie despite him employing members to his campaign, i’ve seen them run up on Hilary but i’ve yet to see them run up on trump, Rafael, Carson or Rubio…
