When it Hurts So Bad: Here’s Why Lauryn Hill Missed Weeknd Grammy-Duet

(AllHipHop News) An anticipating public did not get to see Lauryn Hill perform at the 58th annual Grammy Awards. Before the show, a captivating Instagram post piqued her supporter’s interest. Conflicting reports have been circulating concerning the Golden Era giant’s appearance.

Following the anxious chatter, Lauryn’s camp has addressed the issue of her  debated performance.  Reps from Ms. Hill’s camp have vowed that she was not on the show’s official lineup. Neil Portnow, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences president, has verified why Lauryn Hill missed the “surprise” Grammy performance with The Weeknd.

The Canadian crooner is said to have personally invited L-Boogie to perform with him. On Sunday morning (Feb. 14), everything went smoothly when the “Ready Or Not” MC attended the dress rehearsal, this according to Vulture.

Due to the fact that Ms. Lauryn Hill “did not show up on time,” she was unable to showcase “In the Night” with the Weeknd. Portnow substantiated that the Weekend patiently waited for the legendary lyricist.  He was “ready for her up until the moment” he took the stage.

Let’s stop praying or hoping for this unstable and unreliable bitch please. She’s an adult and has been doing shit like this for years now, shit don’t change. She’s set in her ways, do you think she’ll change all of a sudden? It’s obvious she’ll never get her shit stable based on the fact she hasn’t released any new music since 1998.

    • Nigga Kingdom

      You disrespectful coon

      • therealest1

Just being honest about her unreliability.

The politics of the industry turn her away from this(JMO). U probably don’t remember, but everybody switch out on her after that appearance(Grammys), lawsuits, claiming credit for that album, etc. Real messy. I don’t blame her, she don’t need to put out music because it won’t be what people expecting. She’s past that. It was a good gesture on weekend part, but she never been a trend follower, she sets trends.(Well she use too, anyway, LOL).

    • Yea she is. She’s Anti-Semitic like you

Just leave her in the 90’s you want to hear her…. youtube Fugees the score. She’s damn near as weird as Kanye….

I still have the score CD and mp4. I gave someone my vinyl. I need that back….lol!

She is crazy though. When she made that performance album with no beats I almost cried. I spend $12.99 for that joint back in high school.

      50 was like… “b**** put out a CD and it ain’t have no beats”…..on the 8 mile soundtrack…

      • STEPH

Yeah her noodle been snapped a long time ago.

Nicki Garbaj won’t be around forever. Somewhere, there’s a 12 year old thot-in-training coming to take her spot in a few years.

  • Nelmatic

    who cares?? she’s washed up

  • How fkn hard is it to just SHOW UP. So many artists never get a 2nd chance at it.

  • ChiVa02

Saw her on tour when the Miseducation came out and thought she would be one of the greatest artists ever. One of the best shows I’ve ever been to. Saw her at Rock the Bells in Maryland in 2008. Not only was she late, but when she finally got on stage, her performance basically said “y’all got me for 15 minutes and 15 minutes only”. 17 minutes later, she was gone. It’s all over for her. Which is sad..

    • Q.

L-Boogie was jaded by the industry. Still a legend though. Her one LP kills all of these new breeds’ catalogs, easily.
