Michael Jordan Denies Hating Rap Music, Nore Continues To Diss

(AllHipHop News) Michael Jordan says he has received a bad rap for hating Hip-Hop music.

”MJ wasn’t at this party, doesn’t know N.O.R.E., and is a fan of ALL music. Drake is in his brand, and Nelly is a partner of his with the Charlotte Hornets,” a rep for the famous billionaire hooper told TMZ.

Nore is sticking to his side of the story and he goes into detail in this exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com.

However, Nore took the story a step farthing and chided Michael Jordan for his largely apolitical stance. This is not the first time, the NBA mega star has been criticized for not speaking out, particularly when Black

“If you look at Michael Jordan, he’s never made a statement about Black Lives Matter, he’s never made a statement about the police brutality…he’s never actually acted Black,” Nore said exclusively to AllHipHop.com. “Even his bell-bottom jeans…who Black and cool looks like that? He wears the bell-bottoms…those never been hot in the Back community.”

“he’s never actually acted Black,” Nore said

Not every single black person grew up in a housing project in Queens. Shocking.

    • Andromeda Moon

Exactly. I didn’t know being born black wasn’t enough to be considered black. This is silly.

      • Kiel HybridGlobal Freeman

thats all u got from what nore said smh

      • Knickfan4life

I knew a statement was coming I told someone yesterday Jordan is not stupid he wants that black money with out uttering a word about police brutality in the black community.

      • ZUBU

I concur with you, yet must add MJ wants Black, White, Brown, Yellow, Red, etc. MJ wants all the money, and no he doesn’t really care about us or anyone for that matter… But he is a brotha, he just knows taking certain positions will be bad for his brand… Look at all the guys he signs to the Jordan Brand, for the most part they are clean cut brothers, he doesn’t bring any hood imagery to his brand… Right or wrong that is what MJ does because he is trying to make that money… People can agree or disagree with his moves but that is the reality of it all…..

      • Drake’s 3rd best Ghostwriter

        Word is bond son

      • what shoe brand promotes “hood imagery”? i see “hood: dudes in gucci and LV sneakers. they get robbed for them too.

      • ZUBU

AND1, promoted that imagery, also Gucci, LV, etc. Never made national news for a bunch people getting robbed killed for them. The only item comparable were when the same era people were killing for STARTER jackets. Late 80’s, early 90’s. Not sure if you go back that far?

      • oh i definitely remember that era. i wouldn’t call and 1 stares “hood”. it was street ballers. aau, rucker park etc. my point about apple and lv, gucci, marmot etc is it’s only highlighted because mj is black. if those owners were black they’d be smeared by other black people all day. people pick and choose who they support. i get it. people also choose who they want to bring down too. support black people and bring a couple down int he process. to each is own. one time i was debating with someone and i listed maybe 10 charities and things mj has done and the answer was well it’s a tax write off. which means when he does good for black people no matter what it will get denounced because its a write off. so either way it’s a lose lose in the black public eye. p.s. he doesn’t invest in prisons lol

      • ZUBU

I understand what you are saying, yet the AND1 movement was like you say street-ballers which to White America equates to hood shiitt. Nike and Jordan always tried to present Jordan with the All-American wholesome image, hence why I said he didn’t want to be associated with hood imagery it was bad for his brand.
        ———————-
I understand what you’re saying about some people hating on Jordan no matter what he does, yet personally I think MJ is more concerned with how corporate America perceives him. Because I think even though many Blacks think that we support Jordan the most, in fact many, many Whites wear Jordan’s. We only make up roughly 13% of the population, also Jordan’s sell worldwide…
        ————————
Jordan could get more involved in social issues, but he has never really done so at least not publically. Yet that is his option, though I think he should use his platform to speak out about a lot of issues that are important to us. Yet once again I think he is fearful it may hurt his brand. I don’t agree with his position, but he is entitled to be his own man.

      • i agree with everything you said. my thing is people need to stop wanting celebs to be politicians. some of them are good at what they do and he has always been that private person. hell the lil kid who was killed in Cleveland the mother had the audacity to say lebron james could do more. he could’ve at least put on a tshirt. it’s like wtf! how do you drag lebron into this lol.

      • ZUBU

Yeah bro, I must agree with you on that. Not everyone has the courage to standup for change. As you said not everyone is a politician, or a social activist. Some people help in a quiet manner, from the shadows. Yeah the mother in Cleveland should not expect LeBron to automatically step into every situation. I know LeBron and many players, people put on Hoodies for Trayvon Martin, but he can’t be expected to be involved in every cause…

      • Andromeda Moon

My response was to the “he’s never acted Black” statement posted by Holy Friggin Moron. Not directly to the whole video. Do you understand the difference Mr. SMH? Well do ya?????

  • Papi Peligro

So. I say F*ck ninjas every once in a while don’t mean I hate Ninjas. Who cares if he don’t like hiphop. My mom don’t like hiphop her mom didn’t like hiphop.

  • I wonder what the definition of “acted black” is?

To each their own, if he doesn’t want to get involved then peeps should let him be. Many rappers / peeps pretend to support black causes yet their actions show that their hearts are not in it

    • Knickfan4life

I don’t know what that means either but I do know everyone that has encountered mj on and off the court says he is one of the biggest pricks on the planet.

      • If he’s like what you said and peeps still fight for his merchandise, and are willing to queue for days to part with their cash then maybe being the biggest prick on the planet is part of his strategy.

        Why change what works? LOL

  • ZUBU

He wears bell bottoms so he is not Black? My style of dress differs from most of my boys, but they know all day that I’m black as shiitt… Trust MJ is a real brotha….
    ———————————
Now Nore is correct in regard to MJ not taking stances in regard to race sensitive issues, he has been criticized by many Black intellectuals and activists for not using his platform to make a difference. Basically MJ is about his hustle, taking a stance is bad for business… MJ is not Jim Brown, Bill Russell, Ali, etc. I said it yesterday.
    ———————————
Nino Brown Quote: “IT’S NEVER PERSONAL ‘B’ IT’S ALWAYS BUSINESS”

    • Even investing in private prisons.

  • Notsolucky

Jordan probably just wants people to keep buying his sneakers he can continue to make billions.

    • You are a genius, even I would never have thought of that.

      Einstein, You’re the man 😂😂😂😂

      • Notsolucky

Thank you thank you thank you, your too kind(pats self on the back) lol

      • LOL, bro, LOL, ha ha ha ha.

  • Knickfan4life

Since we are talking Jordan we should support Stephon Marbury when he comes back out with the 15 dollar sneakers they actually look good .

    • bigdoe6

A sneaker is only worth what you will pay for them. If a high profile celebrity wore Marbury shoes tomorrow people will think they’re expensive. If Future started rocking Marbury kicks people will buy em. If Kanye started rocking them people will camp out for em. It’s people who hype these shoes up. Jordans are cool and some of them are priced right, but too many retros on the market decreases the value.

      • Knickfan4life

Jordan sneakers are cool but you have to have some moral responsibility when people are getting murdered over them.Stephon Marbury owns his company so I like to support black owned business.

  • Chyze

And the expert on acting Black is a half Puerto Rican and half Black dude? GTFOH….clown.

    • Tommy Kreed

Puerto Rican and Black from Queens, lefty?? Yeah he expert status.. Promise

      • True!

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

he anotha of da un-contributin’ nobody races dat tryz to blend in like dey us , problem iz we allow it , then suffa image-wise – whites don’t , they all together let it be known when otha races try to slide in like they white , that they aint , and don’t suffa image-wise

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

cant be , he don’t have our history , or our victorys

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

Exactly – take yo word fo it on what he is , but I know he aint no Negro

  • breezo23

Besides the couple comments where I think nore is just being silly he actually makes a good point if Ali, Abdul-Jabar, or Jim brown , ,Bill Russell just turned the other cheek when it came to injustices going on in the black community there probably wouldn’t be a Micheal jordan, whether you like it or not when your in a position such as him u have an obligation to your community

    • he takes care of his community… charlotte north carolina lol

  • Drake’s 3rd best Ghostwriter

When will people get over the idea that you have to act a certain way based on your racial stereotypes ?

  • Pierre

How can Jordan take a stance on these issues, when his product alone entice violence in the black community?

    • Well he has the back end covered by investing in prisons!

      • false

      • Google is your friend!

      • so you would know someone that worked with the governor of oregon is named michael jordan (who was leter fired) tried to get nike to invest in their prison and get their products made their for cheap labor and they denied it…

      • That was Oregon State Representative Kevin Mannix that urged Nike to cut its production in Indonesia and bring it to his state by telling Nike “there won’t be any transportation costs; we’re offering you competitive prison labor (here).”

Also, nothing to do with MJ’s investment portfolio ( Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) ) or the Oregon State Prison Director named Michael Jordan.

      • til this day, i’ve never seen or read anything from a viable source saying he invests in any prisons. i’m not talking about the old dude on youtube rambling, or someones personal blog. if mj really did dont you think all the white media outlets would be crushing him by now? they’d love to kill mj’s image. and tbh if he invests in prisons thats his money and his business. i know black people that work in prisons. some people say well they’re just employees, but if they feel that strongly about it they shouldn’t work there either. imo

      • Not really & honestly, it’s a smart investment.
Do you have a pension fund? So you monitor / micromanage it’s investments?
Not many do, or care as long as it pays dividends.

      • i have my 401k for now. i’m planning on getting a lil bit of stock in the things i use or buy. nike, jordan, reebok, adidas, ocean spray and seagrams ginger ale lol. people bring up th ejail thing and use this excuse ” black people are getting locked up and he’s making money off of them.” white people are getting locke dup too. plus you shouldn’t be doing illegal shit! i’m older now. i’m not in the streets hanging with my gangster friends like i did back in high school so i dont glorify that shit anymore. my bigger point is we can’t blame mj for kids robbing and stealing. idk if it was this post or another but someone brought how back in the day kids used to get robbed for their starter hats. i remember jansports too.

      • Cazal glasses, boom boxes, etc.
Can’t blame MJ for getting his or Obama for trying to get Assata from Cuba, our cultural unity has been beaten & fugged out of us, but I think a supermarket or school for Blacks would have been a better investment in terms of what he gets from the investment…Black money or education circulating in the hood as opposed to pouring out of it.

  • Markus

If what Jordan said is true or not wouldn’t make a difference to the youth or a lot of the older folks for that matter that buy his sneakers religiously. Say he did say these things and the time came to send a message that the culture matters. That message would never get off the ground because just like Tommy Hilfiger and Timberlands, the majority of the culture would rather be insulted and still wear their merchandise than take a stand and refuse to line the pockets of those who have no respect for their customers. And unfortunately there are a lot of forgiving fools out here.

  • It’s well known that Jordan doesn’t get down with Black folks. Jordan can’t deny it. His sterile reaction to anything dealing with poor Blacks is always on full display.

  • AK

Does nore want a hand out or some free jays? Who gives a Damn get off his nuts he’s a basketball player not a politician.

  • 7yoyo7

Why are you all taking this interview so seriously? It’s NORE…
The bell bottoms comment was a joke.

BTW Chamillionaire had a similar story with Jordan…

    • spike lee told my boy at an allstar party i wont take a pic with you but you can take a pic with me and the women you’re with. i guess spike hates black people too lol. i gues grown men celebs dont like taking pics with other grown men at parties unless it’s an event where they are paid to take photos. or maybe a basketball game. imo

  • Htwn5440

True shit. He hates his gums cause they black. He hates black pepper. Niggas from the 90s know he made alot of hoe ass statements. He once told Chamillionaire gtf out my face I don’t like that rap shit. Google it. I do not buy or support Jordan shit he was in bed with the mafia and thats why they killed his daddy. He invests in prisons and makes a killing off poor niggas scuffling to buy his shoes cause they look up to him for his accomplishments as a black man. But he wouldn’t piss on you if you was on fire.

    • AK

anyone would of told whack ass chamillionaire the same shit

    • TheBlackItalian

He hates Whoopi Goldberg’s lips and the back of Forrest Whitaker’s neck AH!

  • Truth Teller

Nore’s comment is ignorant…NOT all blacks like rap it is not an obligation for all of us to like rap music. If MJ is a huge fan rock n roll and country then let it be that’s his taste. Neither is an obligation for all black to be vocal about political stuff…some ppl distance themselves from politics…bell bottom jeans that’s his taste..

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

true , and he wrong too about us never liking bell bottoms – look at tapes of soul train , (a trend seta) no youth did NOT have on bell bottoms in that part of our history

      • Truth Teller

You r correct blacks made bell bottoms fashionable, NORE must. . A stressed man like most these old broke rappers they all wasted their money on materials things and never invested a single dollar and never made any significant positive contribution to their communities.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

haha – yep , dats all he is

    • Soulrebel1

One who has a platform and sees injustice and silent is as bad as the perpetrators, MLK stated it more eloquently,, you boys have shit for brains if you believe someone so influential shouldn’t help his own downtrodden people, no wonder these generation is lost…

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

you wrong — he shud , but its still his choice for his life – and btw — downtrodden ? explain that , because Im betting you cant , and after that I’ll reply after you name yo race , cuz I know dam well you don’t know us – I bet you wont reply about both

      • Soulrebel1

We all have choices but there’s only two right and wrong it’s up to you to decide, , not going all the specifics if you’re black I don’t need to explain…

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

no surprise – we knew yo dumbass wuddent , and yo dumbass cuddent , and yo shitrace ass embarrassed about the only people you do know – your race you ashamed to represent

      • Soulrebel1

Bro you have no life, I was never speaking to you, you probably have multiple names idiot, why would I be ashamed to be black.. I’m about to start an 8 hr ethical hacker boot camp have no time to entertain you ignoramus get a life you’re on ahh to much…

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

as I said , and you again proved – yo shitrace ass know nothing bout us , and rightfully embarrassed bout yoself

      • Soulrebel1

        Get a job bum…

      • Soulrebel1

Get a job you bum do something to improve your life, commenting on ahh 7 am not going get you a job bum…

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

haha – ugly body worthless race ass can never deflect from yoself

      • Soulrebel1

😂😂😂😂😂 loser troll with no job,, but posting on ahh…

  • Nore posted a pic of Jordan at the party!

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

fu=k nore , he aint onna Us , hiz race didn’t do none of the American fighting for the rights Jordan has – nore onna dem Haitians , Zimbabwe’s ect. that’s allowed to come here and blend in with us , afta all the rights were died for

      • NORE = 12 Black & 1/2 PR.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

        same thang

    • baller187

      THIS IS 2002 U FOOL

      • That is when & where NORE claims it happened.

  • Truth Teller

@ soulrebel1 – it is great to help your community, fellow brothers, relatives, family etc. BUT it is not an obligation. In any case we have too many political activist doing a good job, El Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, etc. So no need to knock MJ.

  • Vinsanity

Jordan is bigger than being “Black” hes a Fackin global star. He has an image and a Brand to represent that has to appeal to the masses all over the world. Know how much he’s worth? Nore should shut dafuq up, Jordans a damn legend and we all know Nore owns a damn pair of Jordans and he loves them too. Acting like Jordan owes anybody anything, especially after what he’s already given to the culture and the sport.

  • Manolo Cepeda

Who cares what a rapper who glories a Panamanian drug lord has to say? What every black person has to like hip hop? Get real and stop behaving like a crybaby. This is exactly why people like Oprah and MJ don’t associate with rappers. How pathetic that he went as far as to post a pic of MJ at a hip hop party 14 years ago. People get tired of tuning into to rap because of of boneheads like NORE. Most people Jordans age grow out of rap.

JORDAN is in the white world ofcoarse, thats the way it should be too, probably hates rap so what

  • Larry Sandwiches

So, because Jordan doesnt listen to rap or dress like a thug: he’s not black?

Pretty fuck!n dumb logic right there….

    • MrsOno

I dont think “bell bottoms” are a thugs choice. But when people are shooting people for Jordans, and you never speak on it, you’re a sucka.

      • Larry Sandwiches

Most blacks dont “speak on it”

      • Furiousone

Word, that black nameless homeless guy down the block should speak on it. It’s not like he’s the owner of the company. Why should the owner be the only one?

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

disable yo fjirewall and see the multi-millions of vids whites got posted showing themselves sexually attacking babys – been positng millions of these before Jordan was born , now name one white person that complains about whites getting away with showing themselves do this – I bring that up cuz you cant leapfrog to Jordan , when whites say nothing bout themselves posting more vids of thems rape attacking babys in 2 days than shoes Jordan has sold his whole career

      • THE WHITE MAN IS PURE

        say word .

      • Larry Sandwiches

Exactly. We should be talking to our neighbors, out co workers, EVERYBODY!! ‘Black Lives Matter’ cant become like ‘Support the Troops’ where people think they supporting a cause by buying a ribbon at the gas station.

  • Ionithus

I’m not sure why it’s so difficult for those who say Jordan doesn’t have to say anything concerning the ignorance around his shoes. No, he’s not responsible for any of the madness going on behind Jordan’s, I blame our ignorant materialistic culture as well. But being that it’s his product, he should at least say something. Shit, I would most certainly say something about it if it were my product. It’s my name involved and I would be attached to whatever goes on with them personally. But guess what? He’s not. Why? Not because of the reasons people think. Well, at least most of the reasons cuz we all know how he feels about the community. But that man will not make as much money off Jordans in the black community again like he’s been doing. Dumbasses would take it as an insult if he speaks on it. I mean, damn, he’s made enough money to LOWER the prices but he won’t. I wouldn’t buy them shits anyways. Jordans have always been ugly to me (my opinion don’t get all in your feelings). He won’t lower the prices because he’ll lose money. Again it’s because of our ignorant materialistic culture. Basically, don’t count on him saying shit any time soon (but I may be wrong)

  • josh

Who’s black and cool that looks like this…. Michael Jordan

  • Gap Tooth Bruce

Nore we go need you to sit yo fat ass down somewhere

  • PeoplePlease7

Add Nore to the long list of hypocritical clown rappers who spent albums glorifying murder misogyny and crack and now decide to point fingers.

  • The Most ignorant thing of all is the fact that Blacks, minorities; control the spending of the dollar and we don’t seem to care about it. All can come to a halt with us just not spending on crap we don’t need. We look at one person and point! When it’s “all” of us collectively that makes the change. I’m not and can not blame another if I’m not doing something myself.
