The quote is from Hip-Hop Weekly and it appears that Alicia’s squeaky-clean image is going down the drain. The thing is my sources have actually told me that the relationship between Swizz and Alicia is real and this seems to back it up even more. Damn! Alicia is a bad mama though, but Mashonda gets supreme props for keeping it classy and classic.

I promise to stop with the “new Jay-Z” crap, because Shakir Stewart is definitely his own man. I heard he’s a man of his word and when I mean of his word, I mean, puts his money where his mouth its. I’ve confirmed that he’s dropped a few thousand in the “collection plate” of Senator and President-to-be Barack Obama. I like this guy. I think its going to work out with him at Def Jam.
LATIFAH SURE IS LETTING THE RUMORS ROCK!
National Enquirer is going hard with the allegations that Queen Latifah will marry her partner of five years and personal trainer Jeannette Jenkins. Latifah hasn’t ever really defined her relationship with Jeannette and has never said “I am a lesbian.” I don’t think anybody really cares at this point, because the rumors have been out there for so long. Still AHH interviewed once years ago and she said something to the affect that she wouldn’t tell because she didn’t want to alienate or disrespect her gay fans. She told Ebony, “No comment on that at all. I’m done commenting on all that … It’s ridiculous, I know me and that’s all I need to know. And if the readers don’t know me, then that’s one part they aren’t going to get to know. Those are my people but they don’t sleep with me. It feels so invasive. It’s the one thing I don’t think people need to know about.”The Enquirer says La and Jeanie are going to have a small wedding ceremony with friends and family. They are even going to adopt a baby, according to rumor.

As far as I know, Eminem has confirmed his presence at at Nelson Madela’s 90th birthday celebration in London, but I heard that there will be an interesting twist on it. Elton John has also confirmed that he will be performing at the gala as well. Now, from what I understand, E.J. is going to have Eminem on as his special guest on the stage and shock the world all over again. I’m sure you all remember when Em was at the height of his anti-gay stage, he and Elton John performed “Stan” together at the Grammy Awards. (Dido has to be pissed at that!) Anyway, I wonder who will come out with Amy Winehouse? Martin Luther King’s son?

We all heard the rumors of Lil’ Wayne’s artist Tyga getting yapped for his iced out Young Money chain. We also know that Lil Wayne himself got the chain back in a jiffy. What’s interesting is that Tyga and his handlers took the movement of notoriety and ran with it. I got several “alerts” notifying that he had an album coming out and that he also had a listening session somewhere. From what I understand, they are too concerned with that stuff, because Tyga doesn’t claim a set or the thug life to have to live up to that. That’s cool, I guess. The only thing is that he might keep getting his chain taken if he takes that approach. If you didn’t know, his older brother is Travis from the Gym Class Heroes. Pretty cool.

People got it confused…I like Amy Winehouse’s music. But what she has become is an abomination. The racist stuff just took it over the top. Here is the next level of the gross-out game. Amy apparently has some sort of sex tape. I’m not sure if you can call it that. From what I read, she’s seen giving dude a wack job while she’s on the phone. Apparently, her hubby also videotaped her in a public stair well giving him a professional. No really anything to mention, but Blake (the husband) is really pushing her to do stuff on camera. Yeah, I know – boring.
PLIES MAKES A WOMAN CRY!
You know so many artists make people cry for a variety of reasons. In the case of Plies, he did an interview with Plies 98.7 FM in Tampa, FL. He made a woman cry, but not for the reasons you may think. If you just want the mushy part, go to 28 minutes into the interview. Some dude that was driving drunk decided he is going to driving his car into a bunch of cars on Rich Row. In New York, Charles Lorenzo hit a row of expensive cars and guess who’s Maybach was busted? Diddy’s! The car is valued at about $400,000. Dude was arrested by the NYPD after they found him sprawled out on the ground.
RICK ROSS TO SIGN FOXY BROWN!
Foxy Brown is all types of doing her thing and the Rick Ross situation has just raised both of there stock! If you have been under a rock, “the situation” is the rumored fact that they are now dating. That’s right- DATING. I ain’t mad at them. But here is a twist, I heard that Rick Ross has signed his new Boo to his Maybach label! YEP. Foxy is now a new signee. Hopefully, that means that Foxy can get back on the Def Jam side of things, because I don’t know that she is meant for the indies yet. Nice! I’m sure Rick will get her what she needs on the music side.

Kristalle, my homegirl from Chicago, hit me up and let me know what she saw on Monday. There was a Frankie Beverly and Maze concert in the Chi and she went. She said she kept hearing people walk past somebody saying, “God Bless you Rev.” and “We love you Rev.” Guess who was sitting right there - Rev. Jeremiah Wright. On top of that, the Hon. Louis Farrakhan was a row in front of him. Farrakhan’s row had body guards at both ends. You could walk past and speak but that about it, but Rev. Wright sat next to other ticket holders, no body guards, none of that. Rev. Wright clapped, danced, and really enjoyed himself at the Frankie Beverly show. That’s great. I hope to see him all over the place come December after the election.
