T.I. Files Motion With Court To Celebrate Thanksgiving With Friends

Lawyers for T.I. filed two motions yesterday (November 6) asking a judge to allow the Atlanta rapper to have visitors at his house on Thanksgiving (November).

T.I. is under 24-hour house arrest while he awaits trial on allegations that he attempted to illegally purchase three machine guns and two silencers and possessing a cache of weapons in his Atlanta mansion.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the motion filed on Tuesday requests that the three-visitor rule imposed by his $3 million bond be temporarily waived from 9:00am until 6:30 pm on Thanksgiving day.

The rapper also submitted a list of proposed visitors for the judge to approve, who must all undergo criminal background checks, as does any other visitor to see the chart-topping rapper.

T.I. is also forbidden from consuming alcohol even if the motion is granted. He must also pay for additional security guards to police the Thanksgiving Day celebration.

T.I. also filed a motion with the judge so he can hire workers to clean his yard, pool and house.

“He’s doing fine, he is very upbeat,” T.I.’s lawyer Dwight Thomas said. “He’s looking forward to his day in court.”

T.I. is featured in the movie American Gangster, which topped the United States box office, earning over $43 million dollars over the weekend.

Ironically, the movie features scenes with T.I.‘s character eating Thanksgiving dinner with his drug-dealing uncle Frank Lucas, who is played by Denzel Washington. T.I. faces up to ten years in prison.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Rihanna Calls The Cops! Should Jay-Z Retire? Illseed’s Dopest Verses!

Yesterday’s Rumors! Rihanna Likes Girls? Akon’s 4th Fiancee Dips! 50 Hearts Ciara! Lauren London! So much crap, you can’t flush it!

JAY-Z AND ITUNES?

I don’t know what’s going on over there. Jay-Z has his whole “this is an audio album” thing with American Gangster. Well, why not sell it on iTunes? I heard that Jay-Z only wanted to sell the album as a whole piece and that’s noble. I also heard a rumor that iTunes may not go towards SoundScan numbers. If that’s the case, I am sure that Jay-Z wants people to go and cop the album so he can break Elvis’ record!

Did you read about it? Jay-Z is set to tie with Elvis in No. 1 albums. But I say break it since Elvis is no longer with us to make No. 1 records. Read the story here.

Hey, help Jay break that record! A win for him is a win for Hip-Hop!

Buy the American Gangster album for $9.99 and cheaper right here!

SHOULD JAY HAVE STAYED RETIRED?

I was reading the paper and they are saying that Jay-Z should have stayed retired. Now, check me out here. I am a Hip-Hop head. I want Jay-Z to kick Elvis’ ass, because I don’t giave a damn about Elvis. Now, with that said, ia also don’t care about sales. In the New York Post they said:

Maybe Jay-Z should have stayed retired. The rapper and president of Def Jam recordings has been breaking his back promoting his new album, “American Gangster,” which is “inspired” by the movie. An industry insider says, “He is scrambling – the first single, ‘Blue Magic,’ isn’t being played on radio. It’s the first time in his career he’s not doing well.”

Meanwhile, many Hip-Hop heads like myself are saying that this is arguably his best work since The Blueprint. No, it is NOT a CD that panders to the mainstream and radio, bit artistically, it’s freakin’ hot! I need y’all to talk to me. Please leave all the hate and just conversate!

A couple days ago, Jay-Z hosted a party in Atlanta with appearances by Young Gunz, Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Jermaine Dupri, Rick Ross, socialite Kenny Burns and others.

Should Jay-Z Retire or Keep Rapping?

Keep Rapping!

Retire!

RIHANNA GETS CARRIED AWAY!

No, some dude didn’t pick her up. But Rihanna is asking that. The Sun reports that Ri Ri demanded a police escort to a concert date in Dublin. Ri Ri says that the traffic is way too bad for her to NOT be escorted. What if she was late or something? Well, I also heard it is for security reasons, but no matter the answer is, NO.” I heard they said they will accommodate a bunch of other things, but all the police escort stuff is a no no for Ri Ri.

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

Rihanna’s rumors don’t stop. Now the 19 year old is dating Josh Hartnett, some actor dude that’s not Black. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I’d like a bit of Affirmative Action with the girl.

The success of “American Gangster” has people talking about a sequel to the movie that Frank built. I wonder what comes next? “Fallen?”

Rocawear cologne is on the way if you didn’t know. Hmmmmm…

You want that new Wu Tang mixtape? Just click here and let the good times roll!

RANDOM QUOTES!

The Resistance, a Christian watchdog group said 50 should retire:

“It is time for 50 Cent to be a man of his word, and retire. The world will be a better place when this satanic piece of filth retires and stops making music.”

Don’t do it Common! In the last vibe issue, he said he’s giving it up:

“I need a new fulfillment as an artist. I feel like I can become a bigger actor than I am a rapper. “It’s scary thinking, ‘Damn, if I don’t sell no records, what am I going to do?’ When you haven’t made multimillions in this game, you got to think about what you want to be doing when you’re 50 or 60. I found an art that I really love and it’s infinite.”

In an interview with Atlanta’s Ryan Cameron Show, Bobby Brown commented on Karrine “Superhead” Steffans:

“She is a sick, sick, sick, sick person. She needs help. She really needs help. Somebody needs to… clean her clock out.” (Shout out to Boss Up)

Keyshia Cole on hating her Tig Ol’ Bitties:

“My breasts are big – that aggravates me. I can’t even wear a button-down shirt without the buttons trying to pop open.”

DIDDY MAKES IT TO OPRAH!

With the new scandal at her own African School, I guess Oprah realizes that sexual deviants can pop up anywhere! LOL, even at her own show! Check out Diddy promoting everything, but mostly talking about his new assistant.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END!

When I didn’t get what I wanted as a kid, I just got mad. I might try a lil’ back talk, but never anything too crazy. My dad would destroy me, but these people have taken things to a new level.

Read this report from thetimesonline:

Like many middle-class, suburban American parents, Shannan and Joey Troiano worried about their son’s behavior and his bad grades at high school. And like many wayward teenagers, Cory Ryder was grounded for weeks at a time, had a PlayStation confiscated and was banned from watching TV.

Less typically, this 16-year-old was plotting to murder his parents by hiring a hitman, while his mother was organizing a sting operation involving a police officer posing as a contract killer.

This boy is not on trial. A.I.D.S. America is dying slowly. We better check ourselves!

THE WIRE – SEASON FIVE!

Oh how I love “The Wire.” Here is a preview! This season is going to tackle the media and how urban death isn’t considered news.

THE SPECIAL

Tonight on VH1, they are doing the “Storytellers” special with Jay-Z. Check out some of it right here.

Cassidy: B.A.R.S: The Barry Adrian Reese Story

From the belly of the beast, the valley of the shadow of death, and not

to mention a prolonged absence from the spotlight, Cassidy is back.

The rapper’s ups and downs have been documented [life threatening

injuries, murder raps, literally] as the Philadelphia young gun returns

with B.A.R.S: The Barry Adrian Reese Story (Full Surface/ J

Records). The album is a work reflecting those different varied

experiences from a period of his life when his very existence and

freedom were less likely than platinum. The “Intro” is set in

an arena with a boxing feel featuring Cassidy in a battle for split

personality supremacy between BARS and Da Hustler.  The rugged low

speed track is bolstered by the crowd as backdrop. The first single “My

Drink N’ My 2 Step” is an anthem for all the Patron drinkers who can’t

really boogie.  Swizz provides the beat and a very catchy hook, which

has already been knocking in the clubs for a long time.   On a

more serious note, Cass addresses his situation with the law with

“Innocent.”  He tells his side of the story behind his issues

facing prison and time served.  Swizz is alive on the track as it’s no

simple loop. The keys and the drum pattern are active, changing the

mood and the pace of the song.   The Hustla follows perfectly on this

great narrative.  His reflective disposition is extended with “I

Pray.”  Cassidy gets his God forgive a sinner on a la Tupac as he flows

over a mix of hard drums and flutes provided by Gold and Logic. We

get equal portions of Cass’ original street essence on “Where My Ni**’s

At?”   Infused with plenty of gun cocking, and weed references; all the

tough talk is reminiscent of some mid 90’s Mobb Deep.  His energy

doesn’t really match the heavy Neo Da Matrix beat but he flows fairly

well, albeit with the punchline setup delivery order.  The joint does

have a few dope lines and not surprisingly a few predictable ones.  Cass

does lose steam on a couple of tracks that just fall flat.   “I Will

Never Tell (Uh Huh)” is your standard no snitch sentiment; as we have

heard before.  The joint comes off as unnecessary especially in this

current climate while the chorus is annoying and the song is ordinary.

Basically, he’s better than this.  Additionally his collaboration with

R&B crooner Mashonda on the obligatory “Take A Trip” doesn’t

connect for a knockout.  This attempt at the ladies’ love seems forced

and could have been cut out all together. At the end of the day Cassidy doesn’t break any atoms with B.A.R.S.,

but he does show a clear progression in his artistry with this being

his most personal work. However, we still don’t get a classic.

Hardcore fans will show love but the casual onlookers might not sit

through this trip chapter and verse. SOUNDCHECK:Cassidy “Innocent”Cassidy f/ Angie Stone “Leanin’ On The Lord”
