50 Cent Holds Top 2 Spots On TV Songs Chart

CURTIS JACKSON IS CURRENTLY “THE MAN” OF TV/MUSIC CROSSOVER

(AllHipHop News) Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson conquered the music game with his multi-platinum albums and classic singles.

The G-Unit boss later moved into television, and it appears he has mastered the mixture between the two mediums as well. Billboard reports 50 holds the #1 and #2 spots on THR’s Top TV Songs chart for the month of July.

50’s “I’m The Man” featuring Sonny Digital appeared on the second season premiere of the HBO series Ballers. The track collected enough Shazam tags, streams, and downloads to reached the pinnacle of the Top TV Songs chart.

The remix of “I’m The Man”, from 50’s own Starz series Power, landed in the second position. The original collected 109,000 Shazam tags while the Chris Brown-assisted version totaled 25,000 Shazam tags.

The Queens-bred mogul is extending his TV empire with an upcoming show about the drug trafficking organization known as the Black Mafia Family and its co-founder Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory. 50 Cent also has other programs such as My Friend 50 and 50 Cent Presents in development.
