Big
Mike
, former member of The Geto Boys, was arrestedin Arlington Texas, after he became rowdy outside of a night
club. Big Mike, whose real name is Mike Barnett, arrived at
the club around 9:00pm and according to the manager he went
outside to make a phone call. Around 10:00pm, club managers
called police to report a man screaming and stripping in the
parking lot.
“After he made
that call, his personality really changed,” said the manager.
“He wasn’t violent. He was just really upset.”
The manager said
Barnett was trying to take off his clothes and had removed his
shirt and shoes. “He seemed
to be trying to talk spiritually about something and reconcile
with God,” the manager said.
Police officers
said they had to use pepper spray to subdue Barnett, who had
a substance believed to be PCP, a powerful psychedelic drug,
in his possession.
Big Mike now faces
charges of suspicion of assaulting a public servant, possession
of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and failing to identify.
Big Mike also had an outstanding second degree felony arson
warrant from Harris County, and was locked up in lieu of $9,500
bail.
