The Gallery Mall in Philadelphia was evacuated after a performance by

rapper Chingy drew more fans than organizers anticipated, turning the

event into a melee.

The free concert, was sponsored by local radio station 103.9 The Beat

and took place inside of the popular Philadelphia mall.

As the rapper took the stage, fans mobbed the rapper and according to

reports, robbed him of jewelry and cash.

The entire mall was evacuated and closed due to the fracas.

“A woman was holding her baby and when he came out on the stage the

crowd went and she dropped her baby,” an excited young female told

AllHipHop.com. “Every time she tried to pick the baby up she couldn’t

because the crowd kept rushing forward.”

Another man said that people took Chingy’s jewelry and money out of his

pocket.

Police have yet to confirm that the rapper had been relieved of his

jewelry and money at press time.
