Drake Earns His First Diamond-Certified Single With “God’s Plan”

Drizzy is on pace to join Eminem as the only rappers to have three songs pass the 10 million units mark.

(AllHipHop News) Aubrey Drake Graham already holds the record for most entries on the Hot 100 chart for a solo act with 205 songs. However, the Canadian’s “God’s Plan” may go down as the biggest hit of his career.

The Recording Industry Association of America has now certified the Scorpion track as 11x-Platinum. This gives Drake the first Diamond Award of his career. He joins Wiz Khalifa (“See You Again”), Eminem (“Lose Yourself,” “Not Afraid,” “Love The Way You Lie”), and Macklemore (“Thrift Shop”) as the only rappers to have a single move more than 10 million units.

Drake also recently earned new plaques for “Hotline Bling” (8x-Platinum), “In My Feelings” (5x-Platinum), “Started From The Bottom” (6x-Platinum), “One Dance” (8x-Platinum), “The Motto” (6x-Platinum), “Take Care” (5x-Platinum), and “Nice For What” (5x-Platinum).

With the new certifications, Drake’s lifetime total for digital singles units rises to 169. The OVO leader is the all-time top certified artist in the category. He is followed by Rihanna (125), Taylor Swift (121), Eminem (107.5), and Katy Perry (102).
