Damon Pryor, the surprise defense witness for R. Kelly and former fiancé to prosecution star witness Lisa Van Allen, has implicated Van Allen and two other men in a conspiracy plot against singer R. Kelly.
In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com, Pryor details the timeline of his relationship with Allen, whom he has a daughter with.
Pryor alleges that his ex-fiancé is attempting to extort R. Kelly along with two other men from Kansas, who were allegedly involved in setting the R&B superstar up.
“These [were] guys in Kansas named Chuck and Keith that she was saying were trying to put some tapes together on R. Kelly,” Pryor told AllHipHop.com. “Those are the words she used. And in conversation I remember them calling and I was like who is this? There were several people in contact with her.”
According to Pryor, the former couple began dating in 2001 following the end of her relationship with R. Kelly.
The engagement ended in 2006.
Pryor also claims Allen stole expensive jewelry from Kelly, including a $30,000 dollar watch.
According to Pryor, he felt compelled to tell the truth about the case and that’s the motivation for him to come forward with the explosive new information.
“I really think they are trying to railroad him…there are people who know the truth who are not speaking up,” Pryor said, adding he believed the tape was doctored.
Jurors in Chicago are currently considering their verdict in Kelly’s child pornography trial.
Kelly, 41, is accused of filming himself having sexual intercourse and urinating on a girl who was 13-years-old at the time.
If convicted, Kelly faces up to 15 years in prison.
