Entertainment mogul Mona Scott-Young is embarking on a new path with the launch of her new multimedia company, Monami Entertainment.The New York-based company will offer a variety services which include brand and product development, talent management, television and film production, and marketing.The venture is the latest achievement for Scott-Young, who served as President of Violator Management for the past 16 years.Among those comprising Monami’s roster will be established entertainers and longtime Scott-Young clients Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes, as well as up and coming Interscope Records artists Brit and Alex and BET host Tocarra.In addition, Yandy Smith, Scott-Young’s longtime colleague, will bring her client, Dipset rapper Jim Jones, to the fold as she joins the mogul in the venture.In related news, Scott-Young’s star client Missy Elliott launched a contest today (February 5), allowing fans the opportunity to name her upcoming album, which is due out on Goldmind/Atlantic late Spring 2008.For more information visit www.missy-elliott.com.The contest ends on February 20th and the winner will be announced on March 2nd.The lucky winner will receive credit on Missy’s new album and a $500 “Respect Me” adidas gift card.
