South Florida rapper and TV personality Trina raised a glass to mothers from across cultures Saturday at her second annual Motherhood and Mimosas: She is Everything brunch.
The event, presented by Trina and The Diamond Doll Foundation, took place at Glass Box in Miami from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. on May 2.
The brunch served as more than just a celebration; it was a personal tribute for Trina, who lost her mother in 2019.
That loss transformed Mother’s Day into something deeply meaningful for the legendary Miami rapper.
“This holiday became one of those,” she reflected on the significance of honoring mothers and the women who shape culture.
“I have a sister and my friends that have kids, their moms, and I don’t want my mom to feel like I’m out here sad and not happy…I want her to know I’m still living here, and I know she’s looking after me and looking down on me. I’m living my purpose and it just means a lot for me,” Trina said. “Just to see everybody just so loving. Mothers are the most important thing in this world; without them, we would not be here.”
Trina’s commitment to celebrating motherhood extends beyond a single day.
The Diamond Doll Foundation, which she founded, focuses on empowering and supporting women.
By hosting this annual event, Trina creates a space where mothers from all walks of life can gather, connect, and feel celebrated for their contributions to their families and communities.
This year’s event continues Trina’s legacy of giving back to her Miami community. Known for her decades-long career in Hip-Hop and her work as a TV personality.
