Rapper will.I.am Claims Microsoft Stole His Earbud Designs

will.I.am slams Microsoft for copying the designs for his earbuds and using them for their new Surface product.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper will.I.am is getting into the battle of his career – with Microsoft.

The Black Eyed Peas founder lashed out on Instagram, claiming he approached Microsoft with an idea for a collaboration to make earbuds.

The problems started on Wednesday when Microsoft revealed their new Surface earbuds.

According to will.I.am, the company stole the design from his i.am+ company, which he founded in 2014.

The company launched its Buttons earbuds a few years later, in 2016.

“When you meet with a big company in hopes to collaborate with your big dreams & ideas, on how tech Should speak to & from inner city to inspire inner city kids to take an interest in tech…and 4 years later that company copy’s the design and product you made is just sad…

will.I.am labeled Microsoft nothing but “copycats” for ripping off his design. Representatives from Microsoft have yet to reply.
