Just the Five-Percent Nation’s presence in hip hop alone during the late ’80s and early ’90s we could teach for days just on that. And other different things we have Jewish rappers now. In a new interview with Vibe magazine, Katt discusses a variety of subjects, from her pimp, to her drinking habits, as well as her time as a real prostitute earning thousands. But when the subject of Soulja Boy came up, Katt Stacks revealed that she apologized to the rapper. “I dont regret any of the things Ive done to the people I exposed except for Soulja Boy,” Katt Stacks stated. “We were actually good friends and we just had one misunderstanding and lack of communication that day when I put the video out. (AllHipHop News) T.I. may be heading to prison for the next 11 months, but that has not stopped an angry promoter for suing the rap star over a canceled “Welcome Home” concert. Carl D. Davis filed a lawsuit against T.I. in the United States District Court for the Southern Division of Alabama on October 18th, Davis claims he was supposed to host T.I.’s first “Welcome Back Party” which was supposed to be held at the Birmingham Jefferson Coliseum on May 28th, 2010. WAS KANYE “BANNED” OR…WHAT?
There was this big deal over Kanye’s phoenix album cover. where he his depicted naked with a naked winged woman with wings, that he called a phoenix. Well, the LA Times has unearthed a conspiracy of sorts. I preface this with saying, Kanye and the Times seemingly have a “beef” going. He chastised them the other day for not printing the proper album title. So, a source with the Times said that Kanye really wasn’t banned. The source said that Kanye was told that it would probably be a bad idea to use that album art. They said that if he really wanted to use it, they would support him. In the sources exact words, they said he “was told if he wanted to do it, the label would stand behind him.” So, they are implying Kanye used this to drum up some publicity. Who knows!? I’m sure he’ll have something to say soon. In the meantime, he had this to say about his album art.

(AllHipHop News) Lil Scrappy has had a successful 2010 courtesy of his work with Ludacris. But the DTP member is looking to re-establish his solo career by utilizing the crunk style that initially brought him to prominence.
Last month, Scrappy appeared in Ludacris video for Everybody Drunk, off the gold-selling Battle of the Sexes. For Scrappy, who last year was rebuilding his name on the independent scene, being featured on a successful commercial project has been a blessing.
Its real good. Me and him just put a record out that done went 8 million views on the internet, Scrappy told AllHipHop.com. Weve been doing shows and just putting a buzz together so people can see it and put the visuals together. DTP, Def Jam, G$ Up, were all doing good right now.
Even with Ludacris album being several months old, the DTP leader has been a topic of conversation courtesy of two controversial emcee lists from BET and MTV. The former placed him as #7 on of their Top Rappers of the 21st Century list. MTV, who will reveal their entire Hottest MCs In the Game list this weekend, positioned Ludacris at the #10 spot.
Having worked closely with Ludacris, 50 Cent and Lil Jon, Lil Scrappy praised Luda as the most creative artist out of that trio.
Same work ethic, they all like to work, Scrappy detailed. Id say Luda is a more creative type person, because he goes overboard. Im like I cant say nothing like that, Im too street. [laughs] Ill let him say that, but everything is good.
Fellow Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flames debut album, Flockaveli, hit the Billboard chart last week at #6. With the popularity of Wakas singles O Lets Do It and Hard in da Paint, Lil Scrappy believes the Hip-Hop scene is receptive again to the sound of his previous hits like Head Bussa and No Problem.
Im definitely back on it, he affirmed. Im back on my old style, because my old style is what birthed the A into what it is now. It went from Outkast to trickling on down to where it is now. Im just trying to keep it moving.
