(AllHipHop Rumors) After a VERY successful year, being the first solo female rapper to top the charts in the last 19 years with “Bodak Yellow”, getting engaged to the love of her life, and making tons of noise, Bronx rapper Cardi B shows no signs of slowing down.
As far as the release of Cardi’s new forthcoming single, it seems to be a block in the road, and we are trying to figure out why.
On December 15th, Cardi was supposed to drop a new single as she’d promised her fans, but that same morning A$AP Ferg and Nicki Minaj dropped the banger “Plain Jane(Remix).”
Some say that the delay of Cardi’s single is because she did not release the track as she didn’t want to deal with the competition and wanted to reign supreme when the time was right.
Some also say Atlantic is on games, and Cardi should have been dropped a follow up single.
Bodak Yellow did so well that fans have been anticipating a new track from the Bardi chick, but hell, it’s still doing so well, so I guess she still can buy some more time with it.
Are you anticipating new music from Cardi? Do you think her and the label decided to push back the release of the single because of the release of “Plain Jane (Remix)”?
Cardi has definitely been featured on some hot bangers this year, but for some reason that is just not enough for her anxious fans and the critics!
They are awaiting her own comeback track and hoping she keeps climbing the charts.
There is no new release date as of yet, but we do know new music is on the rise.
