When Lucas discovered his passion for music, he did not know how to turn it into a career. For many years, he tried to walk the path his parents had set out for him until he no longer could. In 2018, he dropped out of college in Chicago and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his passion. However, that presented its own challenges.
From the moment he left college, Lucas was on his own. Disappointed by his decision, his parents withdrew their support and left him on his own. Lucas’s friends weren’t any better, which made his life extremely lonely. With no friendships, familial support, or money, Lucas faced many problems. From hopelessness to homelessness, Lucas has faced it all.
However, he never forgot his why. Committed to seeing his mission through, he worked extra hard, waking up at 5 AM to write and record songs for himself and his clients for about two hours. Lucas would then leave for work at 7:30 to clean toilets and wash dishes but would still not make enough money. Despite that, Lucas never lost sight of his dreams, and today, he’s glad he persisted. His advice is to take baby steps and keep going because, in the end, nothing’s impossible.
