Derek Jeter Left Frigo Underwear Because 50 Cent Joined; 50 Responds

JETER JUMPED SHIP WHEN 50 GOT ON BOARD

When 50 Cent joined the Frigo underwear team as a brand ambassador in 2013, Derek Jeter reportedly felt some type of way and jumped ship. Now, Frigo is suing the former NY Yankees player for $4.7 million for the monies lost when he abruptly left, TMZ reports.

Jeter agreed to serve as the president of the Swedish company for three years in 2011. In 2013, Jeter didn’t want his affiliation with the company to be made public when they were trying to launch in the U.S. So, Frigo tapped 50 as the brand ambassador to assist with the move, which didn’t sit well with Jeter. He decided to then part ways because he reportedly felt that Fif being associated with the brand would make it too “urban.”
