“Me and 9th Wonder are working on an album,” said Kweli. “I don’t know what the title of it is, but tentatively the crew name is B.A.D. (Build And Destroy) Gang.”
According to Kweli, the project with 9th will be a “thematically positive album” similar to Dr. Dre’s classic The Chronic. He also took the time during the Q&A to discuss the state of the music business, social media, and reality television.
Kweli’s most recent album, Gravitas, was released on CD and vinyl on February 18th. The Brooklyn native also dropped Prisoner of Conscious in 2013 as well.
