LOL! It looks like the masons are P#####! Now, this part of it I find hilarious! Its seems there is some form of coalition in the Hip-Hop game of actual masons. Not Illuminati. I kind of wish they were though. Anyway, these Black Masons took exception to the dude that took exception to Rick Ross yesterday! They checked the homie in yesterday’s rumor post!
Apparently, these entertainment-based Black Mason, who will remain nameless a the moment, checked the lil dude-in-the-video’s credentials. And what did they find? They couldn’t find any file on him at all! He’s not a registered Mason at all, they say! And they “talked” to him. I wonder what they means? “Talked.” At any rate, its just good for entertainment purposes, but he did get Rick Ross to say he was NOT a mason. That’s a redeeming quality on the video, I guess.
I cannot wait to see what dude says in response. What if he’s like some underground sect? Let me stop before they come after me!
Shout out to the Masons out there. I’ve got no quarrel with you.
(AllHipHop News/Feature) Wiz Khalifa was in all of his “Hippie Rocker” glory last night at the NYC album listening session for his anticipated album, O.N.I.F.C. In true rock star form, the listening session took place at The Westway gentleman’s club, where the strippers had the night off, and instead three bikini-clad ladies – one painted as a tiger, one a zebra, and the other a cheetah – were prepped and ready to dance to Wiz’s new album.
Wiz Khalifa swooped in and set up shop at a table where he proceeded to roll several marijuana cigarettes and then one super, Harold and Kumar-sized blunt. Wiz’s Taylor Gang family was in the house, and he was warmly greeted by Lola Monroe, Tuki Carter, Chevy Woods, and Sledren.
The entire club filled with smoke, and with that, Wiz made his way to the mic to introduce his first track.
“I’m super excited about this project because we took a lot of time to make it and everybody whose involved just feels [that the album] is really special,” said Wiz Khalifa.
O.N.I.F.C begins with a track ironically called “Intro” and features 17-tracks in total. The album production from Pharrell Williams, Drumma Boy and Sledren give it a unique sonic sound and when listened to in succussion you can really appreciate the art in Wiz’s sequencing.
Wiz shows growth on this album and although he is still talking about smoking on that Keisha a whole lot, his writing is more evolved and complete this time around.
Below are the top five songs you need to look out for on Wiz Khalifa’s sophomore offering, O.N.I.F.C.
The Bluff featuring Cam’ron
The Bluff is the fifth song on the album and according to Wiz, “it’s a continuation of an earlier track called”Bluffin”. The Bluff features Harlem rapper Cam’ron and is most likely going to be Wiz’s next single and one of his favorite collaborations on the album. “That n*gga [Cam’ron] had such an influence on me my style and I never thought that I would get to meet him, let along do a song with him, said Wiz Khalifa. “Me doing this song with Cam was really big.”
Last night Wiz dropped a visual for the track which was shot in the streets and a laundry mat in Harlem. Check it out below:
Rise Above featuring Pharrell Williams, Tuki Carter & Amber Rose — Produced By Pharrell Williams
Wiz Khalifa sighted working with Pharrell Williams on the track ‘Rise Above’ as one of his dreams come true. “This song is awesome because he [Pharrell] made the beat for me right on the spot. I’m pretty sure he got contact high when he mad the beat because he went into a zone and he has a verse on here,” laughed Wiz Khalifa.
Wiz’s fiancée Amber Rose also makes a cameo on the song as does his artist Tuki Carter, who Wiz revealed does all of his tattoos. The track works effortlessly with Wiz’s voice and left me wishing that Pharrell had produced more tracks on Wiz’s album.
Bluffin’ featuring Berner — Produced By Drumma Boy
Wiz Khalifa is at his best alongside this Drumma Boy beat as his sometimes simple but to the point rhymes ride the beat good enough to have you bopping your head along in approval. This is the type of song that is going to get major burn in strip clubs everywhere, so there truly was not a better place to debut it, but at his listening session at Westway. Wiz revealed that this was one of the first songs that he recorded and he liked the track so much, it made it through all of the album push backs and reworks. “This one of the first songs I made off of the album. This was when I was in my mode and I felt like I had to make some hard sh*t and just let it all go,” explained Wiz Khalifa. The track features one of the newest members of the Taylor gang Berner who holds his own alongside Wiz. Drumma Boy also produced the track “It’s Nothing” featuring 2Chainz which is also a winner.
“Let It Go” featuring Akon
As Wiz so eloquently put it, ” ‘Let It Go’ is a song the whole world will enjoy.””Let It Go” is a natural single because of it’s chanty hook that is easy to remember and will have you singing “Let it go/let it go homie/We see through the traps/and the lies homie.” This is one of the most radio friendly songs on the album, but hard core Wiz Khalifa fans will also enjoy it.
“Initiation” (This Is For Them Taylors) — Produced By Sledgren
“Initiation” is the closest thing to Wiz’s blockbuster track, “Black & Yellow” that O.N.I.F.C. has. This song is sure to get the thugs dancing in the club and the ladies shaking that thang at the strip club. This is Mobb Deep’s ‘Antey Up’ 2. Sledgren created this bangin’ masterpiece in his attic and Wiz Khalifa’s rapid spitfire style works perfectly with the beat.
Overall, O.N.I.F.C. is sure to gain Wiz Khalifa a new brand of followers to add to his legion of Taylor fans everywhere. As Wiz put it, O.N.I.F.C. is “some great music to get stoned to and experience life.”

An A-bomb was dropped on the Hip-Hop world last week, as Lil’ Wayne announced that he was retiring in an interview with Sway of MTV. His last album would be the upcoming opus, Tha Carter V. Honestly, I felt no ripple of sorrow or joy as the revelation rolled across the internet. Personally, I was pleased at the news.
Wayne told MTV:
“I know ya’ll want me around for a little bit and Carter V is my last album…I’ve been rapping since I was eight years old. That’s a long time.I’d like to do so many more things, and when I like to do something, I end up loving to do it real quick. When I love to do something, I’m fully focused on it and it only. Music is sometimes not that it.”
I commend Lil Wayne for stepping aside. I believe it is time for him to do that. I mean, if I hear him say one more “life is a b*tch…” metaphor, I’m going to tear my own face off. Seriously.
Personally, I once championed Lil Wayne’s efforts right around that time he proclaimed himself to be the “best rapper alive since the best rapper retired.” That was 2004 and Jay-Z had announced that he was leaving the game for the umpteenth time. Wayne was a beast with no leash! At that time, Weezy was primed to TAKE the crown. But, he never did. Instead he worked with Jay and has ducked a variety of beefs. He clearly became elite, but shunned the royalty title and allowed his insurgents to “live.” Perhaps his reluctance would make him a more benevolent sort of king, but I don’t buy it.
I believe he opted to morph into something more influential, enigmatic and, frankly, creatively subpar – from a Hip-Hop perspective at least. Now, lets keep it real. Wayne creatively peaked at Tha Carter, but he subsequently became more interesting as an artist the more he “grew up.” Claiming the Blood gang, he started to exude eccentricities reserved for rockers, but displaying quite a lot of business savvy (unless that was Cash Money’s Baby) with Nicki and Drake. So, dominating the game was a family affair. But, alone I stopped paying a lot of attention to Wayne. I still checked for him on songs like “I’m Good,” where he finally jabbed back at Jay-Z, but stuff like Am Not a Human Being…blah.
That’s not to say that Lil’ Wayne is wack. He’s not. He’s extremely talented. But he’s no longer that guy that’s driving the car in Hip-Hop. He’s got a remote control or something where the likes of Nicki and Drake are at the wheel. He knows this and he’s admitted age and time have crept up on him, even though he’s still skating, which remains in his future.
And for the next incarnation of Lil Wayne?
“My day job will probably be sports analyst, and I’ll skate all night instead of being in the studio all night.”
Sounds ambitious, but I’m not sure ESPN will want him anchoring their programs, but you never know. Stranger things have happened like those zebra print jeggins. Remember: this is coming from the man that has “I Am Music” tattooed on his face and once proclaimed “I Am Hip-Hop.” It is good to acknowledge when the rigors of the game have eroded you down.
And, honestly its a run to be proud of. Equally, he should be pleased that he’s more or less leaving still on top.
Juxtapose that with a cringe-worthy comeback by LL Cool J and you realize this is a good look for Wayne.
While some rejoice at his departure, its probably just a reason to eventually comeback. What’s cool with Wayne, in my opinion, a break will serve him well should he decide to resurrect himself later. He can go forth and experience different things (You know, a sabbatical in Africa or rap about taking care of those kids) and creatively resuscitate himself into a new being.
Hell, coming back human ain’t so bad. At least, we’ll relate.
(AllHipHop News) Bad Boy Entertainment artist French Montana just dropped a new single titled “Marble Floors” from his upcoming album, Excuse My French, which is being executive produced by Bad Boy’s Sean “Diddy Combs, Harve Pierre and Maybach Music Group CEO Rick Ross.
The new track features Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and 2 Chainz, and was produced by Mike Will.
“I now have marble floors,” French Montana said. “Growing up in Morocco and the Bronx I definitely didn’t have that kind of luxury, so now that I have it, I want to celebrate the come up.”
“Pop That,” the first single from Excuse My French, features Lil Wayne, Drake and Rick Ross.
“Pop That” hit #1 on the Billboard Hip-Hop/R&B charts.
French Montana is gearing up to hit the road with Maybach Music Group on the “MMG Tour” featuring Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill and Machine Gun Kelly.
Halle Berry is in the middle of a total nightmare right now. On Thanksgiving day last week, her fiance, actor Olivier Martinez and her daughter’s father, Gabriel Aubry, got into a huge fight in front of her house which sent both men to the hospital.
Olivier is rumored to have suffered a broken hand, but Gabriel suffered the worst of it and allegedly was treated for broken ribs and two black eyes. TMZ just scored his mug shot after he was released from the hospital and Gabriel looks like he got hit by a truck. Check out the photo below:
Gabriel has filled a restraining order against Olivier and claims that he threatened to kill him and has been harassing him for a while now. In his restraining order request, Gabriel says that Olivier is bitter because Halle has spent $3 million on their custody battle over Nahla. Olivier is also upset about not being able to move Halle and Nahla to France and because of the $20K a month Gabriele gets from Halle for child support. Wow! He’s another K-Fed…who knew?!
In a recent interview, Olivier revealed that he is the son of a boxing family and has a mean left hook. Obviously he knows how to scrap.
