Hip Hop Rumors: 50 Cent Made How Much From His G-Unit Sneakers?! Plus, Shots Fired At Swizz Beatz?

Say what you want about 50 Cent, but one thing’s for sure, he is one hell of a business man. The frequent Forbes Cash King list maker revealed just how much money he earned for his G-Unit sneaker collaboration with Reebok, and it’s insane! 50 must have been in a braggadocious mood yesterday when he posted the tweet below, revealing that he has earned $80 million for his G-Unit sneaker!

50 really never needs to make another record again and he’ll be just fine financially. In another tweet, 50 thanked Paul Fireman, who sold Reebok a few years back for $700 million in cash!!! Now, that’s a real Cash King! No shots, just saying. Check out a pic of Paul below with A.I.

While it was a nice gesture on 50’s behalf, the tweet also seemed to hold a subliminal diss towards anyone who is endorsing Reebok these days…a.k.a. Swizz Beatz and Rick Ross. Check out his tweet below:

Should Swizz Beatz be offended? If you are still doubtful that 50 was taking shots at Swizz Beatz, check out the tweet 50 followed that up with:

If you didn’t know, Swizz Beatz also has a partnership with luxury shoe designer, Christian Louboutin a.k.a. Mr. Red Bottoms. Could that be another subliminal tweet, or is it just a coincidence?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Which ROC Nation Artist Is Rihanna "Furious" With?

Jay-Z may need to step in and stage an intervention for two of his artists signed to his ROC Nation management company. Rumors have been swirling for a while now that Rihanna has been at odds with British import, singer Rita Ora – but now things have allegedly hit a feverish pitch, because Rita just beat Rihanna out for a new movie role.

Related: Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Jay-Z Replacing Rihanna with Rita Ora?

According to Sugarscape, Rita Ora will be making her movie debut in the upcoming The Fast and the Furious 6 as a sexy villain. Rita allegedly blew the producer’s socks off during her audition. We hear that she really won them over with “her look and her attitude?” Rihanna was the lead runner for the role, but due to a scheduling conflict, she lost out to Rita.

Rihanna is such a hot commodity these days that you would think they would reschedule her scenes so she could be in the movie. Movie producers do it all the time for the really big stars. In fact, the movie, A Star Is Born, was on hold for over a year while Beyonce was pregnant with Blue Ivy. Bey just recently dropped out of the project, too – so much for that!

Back to Rihanna and Rita Ora. Perez Hilton is reporting that Rihanna was allegedly furious with Rita Ora for as he put it, “stealing her style.” Check out how he reports it below:

“Rihanna was furious when she spotted Rita Ora’s dress for the VMAs, a rose gown that looked like one she wore in 2010. When Rita started her career, Rihanna thought it was cute that she was copying her look. But now she’s getting p##### off, especially as Rita is getting a following by using her old tricks.”

Interesting. Do you think Rihanna should be worried about Rita Ora?

Mixtape Review: Joe Budden's "A Loose Quarter"

“You know some n*ggas never learn /

Some learn and never apply but wait /

Some apply but never teach /

My only right to preach? I spent time being each…”

A lot can be said for the turbulent years that Joe Budden has weathered up to this point. Due to him constantly being in the public eye and his unwavering approach to addressing issues head-on in his music, he’s oftentimes seen as an easy target to judge. However, it’s for that same exact reason that Budden’s fans connect with him; his honest music makes him just as relatable. With his resiliency in rap now more evident than ever, thanks to his emergence with Slaughterhouse and Shady Records, alongside his situation with VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” (yes, that’s really happening), Joe Budden drops A Loose Quarter, his gift to the fans that’s stuck with him through thick and thin. It’s truly reflected in the music as well; Joey opens up about his relationships, past and present, and puts it in a new light as he attempts to find closure in old situations while progressing into new ones.

Ironically, a huge segment of Joey’s fans liken his music to that of Mary J. Blige’s, thinking that the music is arguably more likely to take a hit in quality the happier he is. If that’s a worry in your mind, then you can discard that as Joe’s musical ability hasn’t declined in almost any way. From dismantling tracks alongside Ab-Soul (“Cut From A Different Cloth”) to giving up and coming rappers their respective spotlights (Trev Rich had a show-stealer on the “Dreams Interlude”, as well as Tsu-Surf’s verse on “Through My Eyes”), the lyrical aspect of the project is on full display.

As far as emotional appeal, that’s here in spades as well. From the emotional dealings of “Momma Said”, to “Off 2 The Races”, which deals with the lack of closure from his ex, Tahiry (she loved it, by the way), Joe has always had a painfully honest way of dealing with his situations. The interesting twist here is alluded to above; it’s not all negative as one would lead you to think, thanks to his current girl, Kaylin. He even touches on her personal situation for a couple of songs (notably on “More Of Me“), but although it’s nice to know the story behind it all, it doesn’t seem to quite fit as well as other featured songs here. Thankfully, he gets back into the pocket with Royce Da 5’9 and Kobe, as “All In My Head” is arguably the best track here.

Accompanied by great production from Cardiak, AraabMuzik, Darknight, 8 Bars, and others, and a hilarious skit from Mal and Emanny on “The Helmet”, Joe Budden does a good job of bearing his soul over production yet again. If this is an indication of things to come, his upcoming album may be one to have us talking for a long time. Granted, it may seem that Joey’s personal life goes through cycles, but if he’s the type to open up about them and be this effective, then that in itself sets him apart from most rappers. Combine that with the fact that he’s figured out a way to reinvent himself musically time and time again, and you have a character in Hip-Hop that’s needed in more ways than one.

Let’s just hope that his upcoming TV status doesn’t convince him to conform anytime soon… He’s made his come-up by being different, and it would be a sad tale to see him suddenly abandon the calling card that’s connected with his fans for so long.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Game Goes In On Sean Kingston, Says He Smashed His Girl!

For someone who posts pictures of themselves going to church ever Sunday on Instagran, this isn’t very Christian-like of Game. The West Coast rapper has released yet another diss song – this time aimed at teenage singer, Sean Kingston. But what does Game have against a popcorn singer who clearly shouldn’t even be on his radar? Well, it’s over a girl, of course!

Sean Kingston is currently dating Drake’s ex, stripper-turned-video vixen, Maliah. Kingston has taken Maliah to numerous red carpet events, and the two are said to be hot and heavy, with Kingston even professing his love to her. The Game is not very happy with that, because according to him, he has slept with Maliah as well!

Even though the Game is engaged and starring in a reality show called “Marrying The Game” with his fiance and his children, he still is a little peeved about Maliah dating Kingston. Check out the track below.

Wow, Game went in! Did Sean Kingston really deserve that? In a recent tweet, Game said that the song, which is titled “Stripper” featuring Wale, was suppose to be on his upcoming album, Jesus Piece, but it didn’t make it “ because some old fart wouldn’t clear the sample ha ha ha…. All good, enjoy the FREE music.”
