Andre 3000 is rumored to be planning his return to rap. He’s been on a number of songs. He has not been on any Big Boi records, but maybe that’s to create more furor over the actual reunion. I don’t know. Either way…we should rejoice!

Now, if we can only get that Detox.

2 Chainz Featured in Champs Sports Commercials and Facebook Digital Game for Adidas Originals

(AllHipHop News) Champs Sports has launched a new national television campaign teaming up with G.O.O.D. Music and Atlanta rap superstar 2 Chainz.

Promoting the Fall/Winter 2012 I Deeda color collection for Adidas Originals, Champs Sports kicks off the campaign today (November 21st) encouraging consumers to take advantage of the brand’s wide array of color options across the footwear and apparel categories.

The program, part of the Adicolor concept which launched in 1983 as customizable sneaker kit, continues to represent color and the idea of dressing in head-to-toe hookup in various colors.

The :15 and :30 spots feature 2 Chainz talking about his game on and off the court, set to 2 Chainz’s song “I’m Different,” a new release from his album Based on a T.R.U. Story.

In addition to the media and retail components of the campaign, a digital ‘game’ will be released on the Champs Sports Facebook page tomorrow where consumers can control an 8-bit 2 Chainz character navigating the court, mall and street in an effort to save the world from being robbed of its color.

2 Chainz was personally involved in creating the online game, providing voice-over and creative feedback throughout.

On their way to competing for the highest score, consumers can shop adicolor looks and even download sound bites from 2 Chainz at several completion milestones.

Non Hip-Hop Rumors: Mike Epps Goes Wild! Shots Fired?

Comedian Mike Epps was celebrating his birthday at a nightclub in Hollywood earlier this week, when he got into a fight with an unidentified man near the dance floor. The man had allegedly been heckling Epps all night long, who was partying in the V.I.P. section with a few of his close friends. According to TMZ, Epps went outside to get some air when he and the heckler crossed paths. The man continued to berate Epps; when the comedian finally had enough, he charged him. A huge melee broke out with drinks flying everywhere, and Epps’ security sprung into action and pulled Epps away from the fight and back into his V.I.P. section.

In the middle of the melee, the police were called, and someone reported that they heard gunshots in the club, allegedly from either Epps or the bozo who was bothering him. The LAPD shut the club down and kicked everyone out. Fortunately, they didn’t find any shell casings, and so far no charges have been pressed on Epps or the heckler.

TMZ got a hold of the surveillance footage from the nightclub, which shows Epps charge after the man – but no gun was shown. Check out the grainy footage below to see Mike whooping the heckler’s *ss.

Daily Word: Give Thanks NOW!!!

Happy Wins-day, my Grateful and Appreciative!

Welcome to the day before most people wait to give thanks! Today’s Daily Word is dedicated to giving thanks NOW! Without getting too deep into the origins of Thanksgiving, it is simply a day that is set aside for us to spend time with our loved ones and show appreciation for each other and for all of the blessings we have and are going to receive!

For a long time, this day has become more about food than about giving thanks! As we ready ourselves for this festive day, it is imperative that you realize that Thanksgiving should never be a once a year occasion! Thanksgiving is a 365/7 Days-a-week event! Every day that you wake up is a day that you should be grateful for!

GIVE THANKS NOW!! Stop allowing people and events to dictate your gratitude! Realize that your higher power has blessed you beyond what you can be thankful for so, at minimum, you should not take your blessings for granted! Make sure that every single day that you are blessed to be alive, you are showing your gratitude by maximizing your FULL potential! As W.T. Purkiser once said, “It is not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, that determine the true measure of our thanksgiving.”
-Ash’Cash

“We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.” -Cynthia Ozick

“Grace isn’t a little prayer you chant before receiving a meal. It’s a way to live.” -Jacqueline Winspear

“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?” -William A. Ward

“If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.” -Frank A. Clark

“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “thank you,” that would suffice.” -Meister Eckhart

“Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.” -W.T. Purkiser

“Gratitude is an opener of locked-up blessings.” -Marianne Williamson

“If you count all your assets, you always show a profit.” -Robert Quillen

Supreme Court Could Decide Rapper C-Murder's Fate Next Week

(AllHipHop News) Incarcerated Hip-Hop star C-Murder will learn his fate on Tuesday (November 27), when The Supreme Court of New Orleans rules on his murder conviction.

C-Murder, born Corey Miller, is currently serving a mandatory life sentence at Angola State prison, in Louisiana.

C-Murder, 41, was convicted in 2003, for the 2002 shooting of a 16-year-old named Steven Thomas, inside a now-defunct, Harvey nightclub.

In 2006, the verdict was overturned on appeal, when it was learned that prosecutors expunged the criminal backgrounds of various witnesses, in order to bolster their credibility on the stand.

C-Murder’s second trial in 2009 also ended in controversy.

During the deliberations, a juror who voted to convict C-Murder claimed that she was brutally pressured to reach her decision.

Despite her belief that C-Murder was innocent, she claimed she voted guilty, due to pressure from the jury and the judge, to reach a verdict.

C-Murder was eventually convicted 10-2, which was all that was needed for a conviction in the state of Louisiana.
