VIDEO: Unmarried Miguel Insists There’s More, Delivers Raw Studio Session

A little over a month ago, R&B singer Miguel released the official video for his single “The Thrill”, which featured fast-cut clips of the singer sporting a hat that reads “Trouble,” while he snaps photos, capturing moments that may only happen once.

Now, with the release of “The Thrill” video which took place inside of Different Fur Studios in San Francisco, it’s time to sit still and let the singer croon. It’s not the leather jacket that gets all the attention, either. It’s more of the “shoot ’em up” moves Miguel gives when he’s feeling himself, or the way his hair moves when he starts to believe the lyrics.

Inspiring it is. This visual does a lot for the skeptical listener, and if you’re already in the Miguel know, it brings you one step closer. The performance, so good you’re convinced that “How Many Drinks” will be up next, just as on the album. It never comes in this video, but the thrill of it is all good.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is The Media Creating OutKast Beef?

You know, everybody wants another OutKast album. And we just cannot fully understand why it has not come to fruition yet. Other than issues with the label, I don’t know why they would work something out. Anyway, Big Boi has kept it moving. This time around, he didn’t have any Andre 3000 on his album at all, not even a leak record. The Village Voice asked him why and he quipped something that was quickly perceived as a diss to his longtime rap partner.

“He could’ve been on any song he wanted to. I gave the motherf**ker about five songs, but I guess he was just too busy. He said he had to do some Gillette s**t. No for real. He said he had some contractual obligations.”

After the fact, he said he was just kidding and it was a sarcastic remark. “The Gillete Statement was me being Sarcastic, man y’all slow as hell, No Beef between me and Stacks. No More Outkast ?’s will be answered,” he said on Twitter. But, since then the rumors of beef linger. Why? Because Three Stacks has been on a lot of other people’s projects (OPP). So, the time part makes little sense. Clearly, the Gillette part does as well. I don’t know but I get the impression that Big Boi is tired of people fawning over A3K. Just my opinion. I know I would. Big Boi is dope on his own. Andre 3000 has said on record that he doesn’t even know when he will release anymore music.

Ironically, Big Boi drops Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors on December 1. There’s a lot of irony in that album title.

Exclusive – Windy City Wordsmiths: Twista Reveals His Top Chi-Town Spitters

Chicago rapper Twista was one of the first rap artists from his hometown to cross over into the mainstream, almost simultaneously with superstar Kanye West, and a few years behind Common. While they are still at the top of their game, a new crop of Chicago artists have infiltrated the music scene and are making national waves themselves.

AllHipHop.com hung out with Twista and got him to run down his favorite rappers from the Windy City. The only problem is, there are so many bubbling artists in Chicago, that Twista couldn’t contain his list to just five artists.

From Chief Keef to Lupe Fiasco (yes, they’re both on his list), Twista name’s his Top Chi-Town Spitters:

50 Cent Aiming To Bringing “Best Fights To Audiences” Across The Nation

(AllHipHop News) Business mogul 50 Cent recently revealed plans for his latest venture, SMS Promotions, a new boxing company that has officially been granted a promoters license by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Earlier in the year, SMS Promotions was also granted a license in New York, paving the way for 50 Cent’s new company to compete in the boxing arena on a major level.

In July, 50 Cent revealed that SMS Promotions had already acquired four top contenders: Yuriorkis Gamboa, Andre Dirrell, Billy Dib and Celestino Caballero.

“I love boxing and have always been a big fan of the sport, so it feels especially great for me to be involved with the game at this level. My goal is to build SMS Promotions into one of boxing’s most respected promoters and bring the best fights to audiences nationwide,” Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson said.

50 Cent and SMS Promotions have teamed with Bob Arum’s Top Rank Promotions to promote Yuriorkis Gamboa’s upcoming fight with a to-be-determined fighter on the Pacquiao-Marquez IV undercard on December 8, 2012.

The bout will be broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View from the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas.

50 Cent is already promoting the brand aggressively to his 807,000 followers on Instagram.

This morning (November 17), 50 Cent posted a picture of himself standing with Oscar De La Hoya’s son.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Shyne Continues His Verbal Assault On Game, Says He Used To Be A “Stripper”

When will it end? Shyne called into the Power 105.1 Breakfast Club show this morning and continued on his verbal purge of words about several artists in the music industry. Just this morning, we posted a story from an exclusive AllHipHop.com interview with Shyne, where he talks about his first meeting with 50 Cent, and how “Irv and then poked him up.” Crazy stuff.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Chief Keef Leaves 50 Cent And Wiz Khalifa Hanging

Yo, Chief Keef is a true renegade! The Chicago rapper is a brand spanking new artist, and he’s already acting like a huge diva. Chief Keef has made headlines this year for all the wrong reasons and now, according to 50 Cent, Keef was a no show at his own music video. Where they do that at?

The teenage rapper was scheduled to shoot his music video for “Hate Bein’ Sober” featuring 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa, and decided to skip the shoot altogether and not show up. Check out 50’s tweet about the incident below:

The video shoot took place yesterday in Las Vegas and featured 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa driving four-wheelers. For reasons that are still not known, Chief Keef did not show up to the video shoot, which is rumored to be his first single off of his upcoming debut album, Finally Rich.

I’m sure Jimmy Iovine, Interscope’s head honcho, is turning all kinds of colors right now. If Chief Keef can’t even bother to show up to his own video shoot featuring big-time names like 50 and Wiz, how can he be trusted to go on tour, or be on time for an interview, or a photo shoot? Also, didn’t Chief Keef sort of disrespect Wiz and 50 by not showing up?

Check out a few photos from the video shoot below:

Well, I hope the risk is worth the investment for Interscope, and hopefully Chief Keef will get it together. His debut album, Finally Rich will be in stores on December 18. Will you be buying it?

New Tell-All Book “JumpOff” Exposes Rappers, Actors

(AllHipHop News) A number of rappers and athletes private secrets will be shared in an upcoming book titled “JumpOff,” written by rapper/author Jara Everett.

Everett claims to have had personal and explicit relationships with artists like Tupac, Suge Knight, Young Jeezy, Shaq, Jazze Pha, Shawty Redd, R. Kelly and others.

Everett says she wrote the book from a point of “self-reflection.”

Non Hip-Hop Rumor: Alicia Keys Wants People To Stop Calling Her A “Homewrecker”

Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz have been married for two years and have an adorable son together, but some people can’t get past the allegations that these two hooked up while Swizzy was still married. Both Swizz and Alicia have denied these claims, but the unfortunate fact is that these two did, in fact, begin dating while Swizz was legally still married… although he claims to have been separated from his wife, R&B singer Mashonda, at the time.

In a new interview with Jet magazine, Alicia says that she is tired of fighting claims that are “not true,” and she takes the time to clarify the public perception of their union. Check out what she said below:

[They] were apart for some time before we ever got together…that doesn’t matter to those who take pleasure in trying to knock others down…there’s no need to fight what’s not true…

I’m not sure how these two even connected, but every time I see a photo of them together, they look really, really happy. They seem to complete each other, and they sure do make some great music together. Alicia says they “live in each other’s shadow,” but in a good way.

I’d never met a person where I could be fully myself…Swizz and I live in each other’s shadow. So we can occupy the same space and there is nothing but equality. There’s something really powerful about that.

It seems like Alicia and Mashonda have gotten past their issues with each other as well, for the good of the entire family…. Swizz has a son with Mashonda, too. Good for them!
