(AllHipHop News) Aspiring producers and Drake fans can now discover how his “Furthest Thing” song came together. Jake One recently spoke with Snare Jordan to discuss how he made the beat for track two off Drizzy’s Nothing Was The Same.
The man who has also created production for 50 Cent, T.I., and Rick Ross explains how he experimented with Pro Tools for the drums and reinterpreted the sample on “Furthest Thing.”
Jake also talks about how he connected with Drake through social media. He says did not realize the rapper was following him on Twitter until fans informed him. The Seattle native reached out to Drake through tweets and then later sent him beats for review. Eventually, the “Furthest Thing” track was selected for the album.
“Over the course of like a year, he picked a bunch of beats and that was the one that ended up making it,” reveals Jake.
