Previously known for his work in rap trio Little Brother, Rapper Big Pooh returns with the announcement of his most powerful work yet, “Words Paint Pictures”, the North Carolina MC’s forthcoming project completely produced by Apollo Brown. Consistent with the project’s theme of race relations and the black experience in America, the first single, “Stop” featuring Steve Roxx, vividly tells the story of a classic case of racial profiling in a harrowing tale of a racist police stop, and in the process eulogizes Oscar Grant, Mike Brown, and those killed by brutal law enforcement. With the current climate of matters concerning police brutality, this song resonates especially deeply.
Set for a March 24th release, “Words Paint Pictures” will be Pooh’s debut project via powerhouse indie label, Mello Music Group.
