Benzino will surrender to cops after a warrant was issued for his arrest following an altercation with his son’s mother and her boyfriend.

Benzino is turning himself into cops today (May 23) after an altercation with his ex-girlfriend.

The former owner of The Source was arrested last month after an incident with his son’s mother, Althea Heart, and her boyfriend, who claimed Benzino punched his truck. Footage emerged showing police questioning the pair before arresting Benzino.

In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop, Benzino revealed he’s turning himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

“I was kind of arguing with the guy she was with at the time,” he explained. “Long story short, the case was like two years ago and somebody put that old video up and it got me kind of arguing with him.”

Benzino was arrested under similar circumstances back in July 2020 after he allegedly damaged the vehicle of an unnamed man who was with Althea Heart. He was arrested on one count of second-degree criminal damage and one count of disorderly conduct.

He went on to say that following his arrest in April, he was supposed to attend a court meeting via zoom call.

However, he missed the appointment as he was sick with COVID, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. “So, I have to turn myself in on Monday to the fugitive squad,” Benzino concluded. Check out the video below.

Footage of Benzino’s April arrest went viral after he became irate when officers detained him. Cops had to warn him after he verbally lashed out against his accuser. Cops told him to compose himself as he began crying and shouting loudly, while pacing back and forth.
