DMX
plans to surrender to
authorities next week to begin his 15 day jail sentence. DMX was
supposed to turn himself in last week, but failed to do so in
order to finish up work on his upcoming film, Exit Wounds, in
which he stars opposite of Steven Segal.
Justice Ronald E. Kmiotek issued
an arrest warrant for DMX on Friday Feb 9, 2001 for failing to
surrender. According to DMX’s attorney’s, he has every intention
of honoring the court’s mandate and plans to turn himself immediately
when he returns to the East Coast.
DMX is up for two Grammys this
year. One for best single ("Party Up") and one for best
album ("And Then There Was X.).
