THE GOOD DOCTOR IS ON PACE TO HAVE ONE OF THE BEST WEEKS OF 2015

The Apple Music exclusive is predicted to shake the music industry with huge sales numbers out the gate. Hits Daily Double is reporting pre-orders are already looking to push Compton to sell over 300,000 units in its first week. The site claims the final total could be much higher.

If those predictions hold up, Dr. Dre could come close to having the best opening week sales numbers for a Hip Hop album in 2015. Drake currently holds that title with If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (495,000). Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly (324,000) comes in second, and Meek Mill’s Dreams Worth More Than Money rounds out the top three (215,000).

Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre was inspired by the forthcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton. The musical project features appearances by Kendrick, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, The Game, Jon Connor, and more.
