EBK Jaaybo and his codefendant Baby Maxx accepted responsibility for federal gun and drug charges in Little Rock federal court on Thursday, marking another major setback for the Stockton rapper’s career.
The two men pleaded guilty to possession of a machine gun and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, according to reporting from Mercury News.
Both face up to ten years on the machine gun charge alone, though no specific sentence has been agreed upon yet.
The case stems from a May 2025 traffic stop on Interstate 40 in Arkansas, where state police discovered a Glock pistol equipped with a machine gun conversion device, roughly five ounces of marijuana, and $8,534 in cash.
The firearm would later become central to a separate investigation after forensic testing linked it to a February 2025 shooting of rival Bay Area rapper Dreamllife Rizzy on Highway 24 in Oakland.
Rizzy survived the shooting, but the connection elevated the charges significantly.
Jaaybo’s legal troubles didn’t start in Arkansas.
Earlier in 2025, he faced separate charges in California for drug possession, ammunition violations, and probation violations.
Before that, he’d already served over a year in San Joaquin County Jail for illegal gun possession.
The pattern of arrests has derailed what looked like a promising moment for the artist, who was set to perform on NBA YoungBoy’s MASA tour before his May arrest forced him off the lineup.
The guilty pleas mean prosecutors dropped several other federal charges they’d initially pursued, including firearm possession by a felon and transporting a firearm across state lines while under indictment.
The court will determine sentencing at a later date, leaving both men in custody as they await their fate.
