(AllHipHop News) Last night (July 6), Remy Ma appeared on VH1’s After Party Live! to announce she will be the newest cast member of Love & Hip Hop: New York. The Bronx rapstress will not be alone when she joins season six of the popular reality show. Remy’s husband Papoose is also set to be part of the Mona Scott-Young produced series.
AllHipHop.com spoke with Papoose about his upcoming turn on LHHNY, and the creator of the soon-to-be-released You Can’t Stop Destiny album discussed the couple’s decision to take the reality show route.
“We’re both creative. We live a real life, so we don’t have a problem showing that to the world,” says Pap. “We are the true definition of love and Hip Hop.”
The reality displayed on Love & Hip Hop has led to some of its stars not being shown in the best light. Fights, adultery, financial issues, and other personal complications are all captured by the cameras, but Papoose is not worried about he and his spouse being viewed negatively.
“I can’t really speak for nobody else, but I know who I am,” adds the Brooklyn native. “Like I said, nothing’s fraud over here. Everything is official. Everything is family orientated. So I’m not really concerned about that.”
Papoose’s second studio album You Can’t Stop Destiny is scheduled for release on July 17. The project is available for pre-order on iTunes. Listen to his track “The Plug” produced by DJ Premier below.
