Jeezy recently sat down with CNN to talk politics and gun control. The Church In These Streets rapper touched on guns “always being a part of [his] upbringing.” He also discussed how the media picks apart certain gun-related tragedies and finds different reasoning behind violent acts according to the suspect’s religion, race or social life.

“It’s not the guns,” he said. “It’s the people who have the guns. It’s the people who have emotional and mental problems that are going out here and reacting and taking lives without thinking about it.”

He also spoke about Americans being “born entrepreneurs,” marijuana being legal yet people still being imprisoned over it and more. Watch the clip below.
