Mo’Nique is catching heat online after addressing her issues with her son Shalon Jackson during a recent comedy show.
The comedian and her son have been publicly airing their grievances on social media over their estranged relationship following Mo’Nique’s viral interview with Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast.
During the episode, she claimed she must “let time do that healing,” and that he had tried to mend things with her son. However, Jackson responded via TikTok, disputing his mother’s claims and accusing her of lying.
Now, Mo’Nique is facing backlash following an expletive-laden rant about her son during a recent live comedy show. She recalled walking through Newark, New Jersey Airport after watching her son’s video.
According to Mo’Nique, an elder stopped her to impart some advice after watching Jackson’s TikTok. “I wanna tell you something. F### that n####,” she recalled the woman saying. “I said, “Aww b####, f### that n####!’”

Shalon Jackson caught wind of his mother’s tirade and took to TikTok to respond. He shared a video of himself laughing. The text on the clip reads, “Dang mama. I still LOVE U THO. Laughter will get me through.” In the video, Jackson jokes, “Begone Satan! I rebuke thee in the name of Black Jesus.”
He added a note in the caption saying, “Not on stage tho lol. It be like that sometimes i guess.”

Monique went from having the world on her side to a villain in less than a week

And it’s her own damn fault
Mo’Nique will never get the accountability that’s owed to her from what went down in her career until she accepts accountability & does the work to mend things with her son. Saying F him, is so wild to me. Kids don’t choose to be here & parents need to mend those bonds actively.

Monique’s bit wasn’t funny and validated all Shalon said.

More than anything, I hope he’s got good people around him. I can’t imagine what it feels like to tell your truth and your parent weaponizes their fan base, says f—you and jokingly intimates she should’ve aborted you.
This is disgusting and don’t give me that “it’s comedy”. No, it’s how she really feel and validates, to me, that her son wasn’t lying. And for them to be laughing and agreeing with her is some sick s###. Mo’Nique, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. https://t.co/FklznhmQYt
