R. Kelly Finally Charged With Crime Over Aaliyah In Racketeering Case

R. Kelly is now facing a charge for his illegal relationship with Aaliyah way back in 1994.

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly has a new charge to fight and it stems from his relationship with the late R&B singer Aaliyah.

Earlier today (December 5th), R. Kelly was hit with a superseding indictment in New York on 12 counts of racketeering for overseeing an organization the government has dubbed “The Enterprise.”

The new allegation in the new 18-page indictment starts with charging R. Kelly for helping Aaliyah to get a fake I.D., so he could marry her when she was 15-years-old, back in 1994.

Prosecutors say R. Kelly employed a vast network of managers, bodyguards and personal assistants, who promoted R. Kelly’s music, in addition to recruiting women and girls to engage in illegal sexual activity with the singer.

Investigators in New York accuse R. Kelly’s crew of enablers helped him engage in sexual activity with girls under 18 years old.

They also lied about R. Kelly’s STD, helped the singer produce child pornography, bribed potential witnesses and committed extortion.

“The Enterprise” was headed by R. Kelly and the group obtained sensitive information about members and associates of their victims, while isolating the women and girls from friends and family to make them dependent on R. Kelly for their financial wellbeing.
